This is what a burger should taste like, no pressed burgers here! You can tell that they are homemade by the shape and taste!we ordered the banquet burgers and onion rings and fries, homemade onion rings! Haven’t found those in years. The decor is 80’s and I love it, takes me back to those days, it’s very clean and they have someone cleaning tables constantly. So glad we decided to come here, might be our first time but definitely not our last!

Visited Master Steaks after a coworker suggested it to me! I after reading a few reviews, I was all for it as it seemed to be family owned, with roots dating back to the 70s. My girlfriend and I thought it was worth a short. Once we got there, it was a bit busy. We both ordered our steaks medium with sides of mash, two drinks and the Caesar salads. We waited about 30 minutes before they call our order. Finding a seat wasn’t too difficult. One thing that I wasn’t fond of was that they don’t give you a heads up that bacon comes on the caesar salad. So if you’re not a bacon fan, make sure to tell them. The mash potato’s were amazing. The gravy a bit on the thicker side, but definitely flavourful! Now I had gotten the rib steak and asked for it medium… I was so excited to eat it, but when I did, it was rare. It was an automatic turn off for me as I know there a huge difference between a rare and a medium. For being a steak restaurant, I had the expectation that they would know how to cook a steak on the first try. That’s where my dinner ended as I personally am not the type to send my steak back (based on hearing horror stories). Onto the next steak restaurant for me.

You have to know what you’re getting into, because it’s more of a “greasy spoon” restaurant than a “fine dining” restaurant, but the steak and (especially) the ribs are great. You get very good value for your money, and for someone like me who doesn’t like all the pomp and circumstance of a fancy steakhouse, it’s perfect. This is my go-to whenever I need to pick someone up from the airport or if I’m just staying overnight in the area and feel like some late night eats.
