Fantastic menu. Hard to choose what to order! Food is delicious and presented beautifully. Knowledgable and friendly wait staff. Excellent pace of service. Reasonable pricing.

We had such high hopes for this restaurant. Starting with the positives, the waiter was amazing. He was so attentive. There is parking at the back which is helpful. Unfortunately the food was really disappointing. The bread was stale. It's a nice gesture to give free bread but if it's stale, it's probably better to omit it. We ordered 2 salads, salmon, veal steak and spaghetti bolognaise. It was all one note. Nothing had much flavour. I had to add tomato sauce just to add some flavour. I just don't understand how positive the reviews are. We wish it was better. It had so much potential.

We have always had amazing food and the absolutely best service from Joseph !!! From the moment you enter this restaurant you are greeted warmly usually by Michael this is our favourite go to restaurant .

Great time and great food. Our server Joseph was well informed and very entertaining. Michael came by the table to check in, what a great gentleman. We will be back again. Highly recommend it.

First time @ Michaels Backdoor. Service was excellent, food was exceptional. An overall wonderful experience. Will surely return.

We arrived 10 minutes before our 8:15pm reservation. Five couples were waiting. We stood by the hostess desk and waited over 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence. A lady that looked like the hostess (different attire from the wait staff) never even looked at us. She walked by 4 times to place menus down on the hostess desk. We spoke to the other couples, one couple's reservation was at 8pm and they were still waiting. Our server was not very attentive. She was older, worked with the original owner and now the son had taken over. She asked us for fresh ground pepper and cheese for our meal. We replied, “yes”. It never came, we had to ask another wait staff for the fresh ground pepper and cheese. I constantly had to ask her for a water refill. She was quick/eager to give us our bill, though. Food was okay. I heard great reviews on the restaurant and was disappointed it did not meet my expectations.

Our table was in a small room with a few more tables which was a little different for us. The food was good . Our waiter was beyond excellent . Prices are reasonable .

Lovely 3 course Valentine menu with excellent service. Always a pleasure to come to our favourite restaurant.

Top notch restaurant Party of 4 and a toddler Very good service and attentiveness by waiter Cioppino was excellent Linguine bolognese was too spiced Capelli D'Angeli was amazing Fresh catch of day was cooked perfectly They have a nice selection of very drinkable wines for less than $50 Definitely will visit again

I had my daughter’s baby shower at Michael’s Back Door this past weekend and it was wonderful. The restaurant impressed us with its excellent food, beautifully presented, and the service was outstanding—efficient and always accompanied by a warm smile. Thank you for the excellent service and great time we all had.

Very good food and fantastic service. This was a group of 6's first time here and you can tell why it's been as successful as it has been for so long.

Michael's Back Door is an absolute hidden gem. We celebrated a birthday with friends and the entire experience was incredible - cozy, romantic atmosphere, exceptional food, and some of the friendliest service I've had in a long time. The prime rib was perfection. One of those places you leave already planning your return. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time at Michael's Back Door. As soon as the wine and charcuterie board hit the table we were already vowing to come back. The Veal Sorrentino and Brazina completed our awesome meals. Our server Anderson was awesome. Very attentive and made great recommendations. Really nice high end, cozy atmosphere. We will be back.
