Mr. Gao Restaurant 高老庄

Friends and I were looking for a late night spot to eat at and found Mr Gao on google. Decided to give it a shot cause we really wanted dumplings, and it did not disappoint! Portions are great and shareable, everything was pretty affordable and the servers were sweet. The place was also super clean. ☺️

This place is a hidden gem! The food was so delicious, my favourite was the steamed soup dumplings. Service was great and prices were reasonable. They will be seeing me again!

So bad service, so rude staff .food coming after 20 minutes still waiting. There are even many Uber riders, so it's a long time waiting .no wasted time for this restaurant

Went here last night with my husband and my brother in-law, food was cooked well and very tasty, pretty quiet at night too. Good service

The lamb skewers are good. Other food is somewhat mediocre.

The portion is on the lower side but still OK.

The ordering system could bug out sometimes so make sure to double check if you actually made the order by checking in your order hsitory.

Nice pork skewers, lamb skewers and chicken skewers.

Was in the area and we smelled something tasty. Ended up having one of the best sweet and sour soups we have ever had. Skewers and main dish were superb. Very friendly staff, food came out delicious and piping hot. A cat robot brought two of our dishes. Who wants more?? Would recommend

They added a 4% surcharge for using a credit card that was not mentioned until after payment. Very dishonest business.

Edit: I checked my call history: the call duration was 3 minutes only. It’s a shame that owner can’t even bother a 3 mins call and blamed the customer being not considerate enough to understand how busy they were. Fact: my order was cancelled on the store side without even acknowledging me. We ordered at 5:30pm, scheduled to have the order at 7pm, and got to know the my order was cancelled when I called at 8pm.

I ordered uber eats and called the restaurant because it’s 1 hour late. I was asking when the order would be ready. The angry lady on the phone kept saying it’s Chinese new year everyone needs to wait. And then my call got hung up.
Relax lady… I just need my ETA. Happy Chinese New Year.
