So today I had the chance to come and try food from My Empanda. Now let me tell you. This was by far the best food I’ve tasted in the city.
Let me start off by saying if you’re use to eating small portions. You will be taking food home! In this economy this is well worth it.
Today I had a dish called Calentado (Leftovers) and everything on the plate was delicious!
Now let me tell you about the Papa rellena, Pan con Queso, and pan con queso y guayaba or maybe I think it’s called bocadillo. Either way if you get there and these are available you better get them! I was unsure of the pan con queso y guayaba because I had a bad experience at a different place but My empanada definitely changed my opinion on this treat! I can say it’s by far my favourite item I’ve tried here. The pan con queso is really really good as well. You won’t be disappointed regardless of which you choose.
Last but not least because we save the best for last! When I entered I was greeted by the wonderful Juanita! She guided me through the popular options and gave me solid recommendations! She came by a few times to make sure I was okay and enjoying my meal when she wasn’t busy at the register. I would definitely give her a 5/5 for service!
So my overall review is that if you’re still reading this then you definitely got to head on over!

The chuleta valluna is huge and flavourful, pastel de yuca is amazing and pretty much the same you are going to find in Colombia. Overall, excellent Colombian food, I’d recommend.

My Empanada always hits the spot! We had the Sobrebarriga and the Bandeja Paisa—both were absolutely delicious, packed with flavour, and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, so you definitely get great value for your money. Always a satisfying meal—highly recommended!

This place is a gem. Their cheese strings are now officially the best thing I've ever eaten, oh my goodness. Just incredible. I ordered one to try and immediately got two more. For two people we paid $28 for food and drinks and left completely satisfied. Empanadas were so crispy and delicious. Hot sauce and garlic sauce are both sooo yummy. I highly recommend this place!! From the price to the food quality to the service, I give it all five stars.

Been going here for years Bought the Patacones de Carne the price has doubled but the size is half what they were. Like come on almost 30 dollars for that ! Terrible and the Empanadas were always great but now they should be called potato empanadas they are 90% potato with a few strings of beef here and there. Really disappointing. not at all what they were known for.
Today I got this avocado on my take out bandeja paisa. What happened here My Empanada!? Not to blame the heat weather please.

I ordered 8 empanadas and later found out that they were hard and crunchy. I am not a Latin American so didn’t know that the crunch is normal. But we preferred the soft taste. I called the store and just asked them if the Crunch is normal (our previous empanada experience was from a a store in Etobicoke and they were fantastic soft and tasty), because I thought they were too hard.
The owner immediately said , “oh don’t worry I am going to make them soft just come and pick them up” now that was something you don’t usually see !! Amazing experience . He promised to give me another set of empanadas free of cost. Usually you don’t see this.
Amazing customer experience. 5 stars and we will go there again for sure.

Are the chicken (pollo) and beef (carne) empanadas not suppose to taste like chicken or beef at all? They were full of potatoes and other veg, where is the chicken or beef? Anyways, they were OKAY... They taste better with the spicy sauce. I'll be back to try the other dishes on the menu that I hope are better.
