Original Shawarma

Had a negative experience here. I ordered through Skip for pickup and arrived shortly after placing the order. When I got there, the man at the cash told me my order had already been picked up and essentially shrugged me off, acting as there was nothing he could do. He even said he “remembered that order,” which was strange considering I was there to pick it up and had my order number ready to show him, so how was someone else able to take it without proper verification? He also made a comment about “checking the camera,” which didn’t clarify anything.

I explained that this was not a delivery order, it was my pickup order via the app. After this confusing interaction, he said he could remake it, but did so in a rude tone, as if I were at fault for someone else taking my order. Isn’t it the restaurant’s responsibility to ensure orders are handed to the correct person?

It was incredibly unprofessional, and I was told I’d have to wait 10 minutes.

After waiting, I received my food and asked for extra sauce, as I always do (and as many customers do). He again brushed me off, saying the sauce was already in the bag. Given how rude he had been, I checked, and of course, there was no sauce.

When I pointed this out, he handed me some while muttering something under his breath. Again, very unprofessional behaviour.

Finally, when I got home, I found they had given me the wrong food. I ordered chicken on rice and received chicken on fries instead. Terrible.

The best

Placed a pickup order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up on time, only to wait an extra 10 minutes with no explanation or apology. The staff was rude and completely unprofessional, specially the girl at the front,
barely acknowledged customers and seemed disorganized. If you can’t manage a basic takeout order or treat people with respect, you shouldn’t be in the service industry. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Have been coming for years to Original Shawarma , was the best , but currently they just make the meals fast and no quality as it was , they have the chicken rest for hours and give it to people cold instead of getting rid of it !! The previous management was much better tbh

Foodnis good. Chicken on rice. Ordered no spice and got spice. A sprinkle of chicken on a mountain of rice..I would suggest some more chicken for $15...

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I visited with high expectations but the food was served completely cold. I ordered 1/4 quarter Lamb Shawarma and it arrives lukewarm at best as if it had been sitting out for a while. When I mentioned it to the server there was no apology or effort to fix it.
The food lacked both flavour and freshness and the overall service was slow and inattentive. For the price, I expected much better quality and professionalism.
Sadly I won’t be returning and I won’t recommend this place to anyone who values good food served properly.
