My mother has been in the hospital for almost four months, and I've spent a large chunk of the day staying with her. As you can imagine, I've had a lot of time to experience almost all of the food available in the cafeteria. Out of all the options, I found myself returning to Pumpernickel's more than any other.

Quick service, consistent quality, fresh ingredients, and friendly staff brought me back time after time. There is always enough variety to prevent me from getting bored.

I highly recommend Pumpernickel's to anyone visiting the hospital. Keep up the excellent work!

Just got some food from here. The server was quite rude. Her tone was curt and she seemed angry. The menu clearly stated fill a salad bowl as much as you like for the price, but she said I can only have four items. When I challenged her she said my bowl was already full which it wasn't. Do not know her name because the receipt just said 'Server: Employee'. Awful service.

I used this location a few months for catering to organize an event in the hospital. Staff is always so friendly, and so is the supervisor (I think his name is Adil). He gave me directions on how to place the order online, it’s a fairly straightforward process, and he also worked with his team to make sure the order was ready at the time requested. Additionally, he had supplied me with plates and napkins which speaks to the care and service they want to deliver. Everything was nicely packed and labelled for food restriction items. I will be coming back here for another catering event I have to do for the hospital as the staff here makes the process 100 times easier.

Woman working the counter was in a big hurry to make my mother and I go away. Did not ask us what our choices were and just threw whatever into the container. I had to say I wanted sausage instead when she threw in bacon. My mom is super polite and it always makes me upset when people disregard that and treat her badly. The woman hurried to the back to chat with her coworker right after our transaction went through and without giving us the salt and pepper that my mom had asked for. Then my mom apologized for bothering her and I had to speak up and mention that we DID ask for it in the first place. Why is this person acting like she's doing us a favor and is inconvenienced by doing her job? Then when the regular hospital employees came, she was all smiles and patience. Sorry we weren't wearing scrubs and therefore deserve no respect.

I asked for 2 chicken legs. The lady tried to sell me 2 chicken with 2 sides. I said no. Then she proceeds to serve me 1 chicken leg and 1 chicken thigh. Never returning.

Bad service don’t listen to what you ask for and sloppy making of the sandwich. Sandwich was not worth half the price. The most of it out. Bread roll stale and tuna salad was dry.
