We loved their butter almond cake and it is really good provided it is fresh . I drove an hour to buy this and mentioned specifically to the server there that please do ensure that it is fresh as it has happened with us once before as well . She assured that it was fresh . However when we cut , it wasn’t fresh at all . I guess they don’t bother about their customers anymore.
I also bought their chicken samosa and tried it for the first time and honestly speaking it was one of the worst I have ever had with crust not crispy and too oily . I can’t eat it past one bite . They charged 2$ for one samosa . Whereas there is a very famous shop in Missisauga and they charge only 90 cents for chicken samosas and it is really outstanding . So overall we had really bad experience.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STALE CAKES
On 24th December, I ordered and paid in advance for a freshly made 2 lb coffee cake, which the staff told me would be ready in one hour for pickup. When I returned, they told me they had “mixed up” the order and given my prepaid cake to someone else, and offered two 1 lb cakes instead, which I reluctantly accepted because I needed a cake for a dinner.
At the dinner, several guests left half-eaten slices because the cake was clearly stale and not fresh as promised. I asked my friend not to open the second cake so I could return it. When I brought it back, the staff were dismissive and rude, insisted the cake was fine, and refused to acknowledge there could be an issue.
They kept the unopened cake that I had paid for, took my phone number, and told me they would speak to the owner and call me within a day about a possible refund. It has now been four days with no call, no refund, and no apology. Overall, terrible product quality, no accountability for their mistake, and absolutely horrible customer service.

Truly shameful. Bringing such a well-known name to Canada and then completely failing to maintain its quality is unacceptable. I travelled 150 km for this experience, and it was a total waste.
• Carrot halwa: 1/10
• 0
• Chicken samosa: 0/10
• Chocolate pastry: 1/10
• Pineapple pastry: 7/10 (the only somewhat decent item)
• Chicken patties: Empty inside absolutely nothing, just shameful.

Rahat Since 1950 is a wonderful place for anyone who appreciates traditional South Asian sweets and savory snacks, especially if you’re nostalgic for classic flavors from Pakistan. We visited specifically for their sweets and patties, and the experience truly lived up to its reputation.
The chicken patties deserve special mention. They were fresh, flaky, and perfectly baked, with a flavorful filling that had just the right balance of spices. These patties are so good that we always make sure to take some home—they’re perfect for later snacks, guests, or even quick meals. The quality and consistency really stand out, and you can tell they’re made with care, not mass-produced.
The sweets were equally impressive. Each item had that authentic taste you’d expect from a long-standing brand, rich without being overly sweet. Every bite reminded us of the traditional mithai shops back home.
What makes Rahat Since 1950 truly special is how it brings the charm and heritage of Rahat Sweets of Lahore to Toronto. From the flavors to the presentation, it feels like a genuine extension of a beloved institution rather than just another dessert shop.
Overall, Rahat Since 1950 is a must-visit for high-quality sweets and savory patties. If you’re craving authentic Lahore-style flavors in Toronto, this place delivers every time.

I visited rahat and i bought pineapple pastries, amazing taste, amazing texture
Keep it up rahat bakery superb taste
Their patties and mini pizzas are awesome
Yesterday I bought Gajar ka halwa ,chicken and veg samosas, chicken petties and some pastries from Rahat, and tbh , samosas were overpriced, overfried and burnt as well, while having little to no taste, halwa also has no taste in it. It was total wastage of money, I don't recommended this shop.
