Yesterday we ordered two chicken kottus and it was very delicious.

Great variety of food! I particularly liked the mutton roll and all the kottus. Felt like the seeni sambol bun didn’t quite taste the way it does in Sri Lanka but everything else was delicious! Always nice to find a slice of home overseas

Not a Delight – More Like a Disaster!

Tried Lankan Delights expecting authentic Sri Lankan food — but this was a huge disappointment from start to finish. 😤🍛

First of all, the customer service was terrible. The lady at the counter was straight-up rude. No hello, no smile, just staring like I did something wrong by walking in. I asked a simple question about the menu and she acted like I was bothering her. 🙄

The food? Greasy, bland, and not fresh. I ordered kothu roti and some short eats — total regret. The kothu had way too much oil, barely any meat, and tasted reheated. The rolls were cold inside and the patties were hard as rocks. 🤢

And the worst part – I found a piece of plastic in my food. Showed it to them and they just shrugged like it was no big deal. No apology, no refund, nothing. That’s how you treat customers? ⚠️

Also, the place smelled stale, and the display area didn’t even look clean. Tables were sticky, and nobody was wiping anything down between customers. Hygiene clearly isn’t a priority here. 🧼🚫

Prices were high for the quality, and they charge extra for everything — even sauce. Not worth it at all. You’re better off making food at home or going to another Tamil/Sri Lankan place that actually cares.

I came in excited to support local Sri Lankan food, left with a stomach ache and regret. NEVER again.

This place has the best fish buns and Sri Lankan Lampraise in town. This is a take out place. Pease call and ask for Biriyani and Sri Lankan Lumpraise availability as they are very popular and can run out.

It's a food take out place. Their lamprais is very yummy and also other savoury food like chicken pastry, fish bun etc.

They are misleading customers by showing incorrect prices (old prices) in the display screens and then charge extra amounts at the time of payment. Also they don’t refund customers saying they don’t have that option if we paid by card. However still food tastes good, but customer service is poor. You may
have to double check with cashier when ordering food to make sure you are aware about the updated price.

I ordered the Lamprais from Lankan Delights today and was extremely disappointed, not only with the taste, but also with how it made me feel physically. The dish did not taste anything like authentic Lamprais and was overly oily and heavy.

Shortly after eating, I experienced discomfort, and a strong sense of unease that left me genuinely concerned about the quality of the food.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was serious enough that I feel others should be aware. I truly hope the team reviews their preparation process and prioritizes both taste and health standards moving forward.

Best Lamp rice now. We used to go to this restaurant when Mark owned it, we just went and the food was very good especially the Lamp rice.

Recently I got fish lump rice and chicken lump rice. I am really disappointed because they missed to put an egg for chicken lump rice and for fish rice they only put a small fish portion. And the cashier is not friendly and no smile to customers at all. However the food is delicious.

I basically called & ordered, but my wife picked up the food. Excellent customer service over the phone. The food was tasty (Masala Dosa) & could not go wrong with the promotion price of just Cad$5.99. They sent me a complimentary sweet which was good too. Will definitely try the other dishes on their menu as per my likings/interests. already recommended to family & friends.

I am a food critic & love tasting international food.
