This is the first time I've seen the owner argue with customers. There is no policy in the menu regarding limits for the daily specials. We've ordered more than one daily special before without any issues. You should check how other restaurants handle their daily specials. If you don't want to continue the promotion, then just remove it. This feels cheap.
I had a very enjoyable meal here with a group of friends! The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and clean, and most of the dishes tasted great! We did note that the fish tasted very oily, almost to the point of tasting deep-fried. I thoroughly enjoyed the stir-fried green beans, as well as the braised pork. The fried noodles were also tasty. I can see why my friends are a fan of this restaurant and I see myself bringing my family here sometime.
My family and I have been coming for over 15 years. We always order the spicy pot sliced fish.
The food is pretty oily and salty and many of the dishes are spicy, but it tastes pretty good! Bathroom trips afterwards can be a little rough but I think it’s usually worth it :^)
Good food and good price
Reasonable comfortable venue
Good service
It's lit. 👌
Team have got no sense to talk with the customer they just talk to each other no response to customer very rude staff
Bad food! Little portion! It’s doesn’t worth the price and most importantly, taste bad. So I decide to eat essential ingredients and then move to the restaurant next-door and order something else. It ruin my dinner mood.
I want to say that the food is not fresh, highly priced, portion is small, no taste, very oily and handle to you burned dishes in case you order pan fried chive pancakes.
Honestly, the menu is heavily overpriced for everything in comparison to surrounding competitors that offer the same dishes.
The food portion is shrinking a lot, and food qualify is really bad. There is no consistency in taste and flavour, or I can responsibly say that there is literally no taste and no flavour at all for some dishes, it simply just tasted boiled in water and /or soaked in oil. For example: pan fried beef tender or salt and pepper shrimps.
The pan fried chives pancakes uses unfresh chives, the crust is always burned out, oily and loaded with dark burned crusts, sometimes they will give you old made ones.
Their bubble tea is disappointing, it is loaded with heavy non daily creamers, and sugar, there is no difference or no richness between drinks. There is no refreshing or chill feeling consuming it. I strongly recommend shuyi tealicious or Kung fu tea.
Best Sichuan food me and my girlfriend have found in GTA area! Very authentic style of cooking, dishes have a generous amount of chili and red peppercorn, as well as chili oil which is typical to Sichuan cuisine. In the four times I have been here the chefs have consistently found a great balance between spice, fragrance, and salt.
Red Lotus is an old favourite in the plaza filled with great restaurants. From the countless times we ordered take outs during the Pandemic, to late night cravings, this restaurant is a solid choice.
Sweet soy chicken is a favourite dish. The chicken pieces take some time to dissect with the bones included, along with chestnut pieces to round up the dish. Spicy fried chicken is also a great, solid Szechuan dish, if you can avoid the mala peppers. In the last trip we also tried the eggplant dish. It was so flavourful, great with steamed rice. The sliced pancake is also an amazing and unique alternative noodle dish if you're craving for that.
You order your food from your phone using QR code. Many servers do not speak English well. I had no issue having my water filled, but flagging for service might be difficult during busy times.

The fish with pickled vegetable stew 酸菜鱼 is delicious! The cold noodles were also amazing.
We came dinner on Sunday. Service is quick and good. I ordered some of my favorite food, which was so good except it's a little bit salty. Price is very reasonable.
Had stomachache

Great food. Authentic chinese. Not the hakka chinese stuff. Price does not justify the quantity of food though. So this means, based on the quantity of food you get, each dish might seem pricy. Call it shrink-flation !! I love the bamboo chicken, but it has less chicken but more of peanuts and celery. I think they should rename the dish as bamboo peanuts with chicken instead ??! Oh btw, its a halal restaurant.

Since moving to the Toronto area, I have eaten here many times. The spicy dishes all taste pretty good. Every time I eat them, I tell my wife why so many people gave negative reviews before? I feel like the service is pretty good. The store owner was so unfair.
But what happened today made me completely understand how those one stars came about. I would like to apologize for giving those one stars for my previous "ignorant" thoughts. I will never eat here again.
Let me start with the conclusion. How does this store taste? very nice. How is the service? I would rate it in two words: disgusting.
If you read each one-star review carefully, do you feel that the store did nothing wrong? It still seems a bit reasonable? But that's exactly what's most disgusting.
Don't forget, we are diners and he is a businessman. He has been doing business for many years. There is no such thing as "accidental", "not intentional", "he didn't mean it". To put it bluntly, they just stick to the boundary between right and wrong and disgust you. Whatever they do or say, you can't say with 100% certainty that they did it wrong, but this is precisely the most disgusting part. Because they really don't take you seriously. Giving you service = giving you face, don’t take yourself too seriously.
When you and I write negative reviews here, things are not fresh, the smell is too strong, the layout is small, unreasonable, there is a fee for swiping a credit card, and there is no cash discount for special dishes. What is the store doing? If I guess correctly, in the kitchen, after get off work, you and I have long been the targets of their ridicule and ridicule. Reflection? Doesn't exist. If you can, don't come and eat.
Speaking of which, what happens today is actually not that important. It's very simple. Even if I tell you everything, you can still help the store find a hundred angles to explain it. But like I said above, this is the most disgusting part. They are the experts. They have many ways to disgust you and make it impossible for you to talk back.
In the end, all we can do is vote with our feet.
If you agree with me, you can give me a like and see if I am the same person.
If you don't agree with me, you can just laugh at me and keep eating. But like I said at the beginning, one day you will understand what they are. I hope you will remember to add likes to me at that time.
