This restaurant has the worst customer service. The owner tries to create the appearance of being busy by making customers wait in line despite having empty seats. When I arrived with a few guests, they had empty seats but wouldn't let us sit because the tables were meant for larger groups. We had to wait for another table to empty, and the owner was incredibly rude and doesn't care about his customers. If you want to be treated well, avoid this place. There are plenty of other restaurants in Mississauga with far better customer service and food.

I recently visited Roman Zaman restaurant, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The ambiance at the restaurant was cozy and perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Our experience began with a warm welcome from our server, Ashraf, who was extremely helpful and friendly. Ashraf assisted us in selecting signature dishes from the menu and provided valuable recommendations. We ordered several dishes, including traditional Arabic grills and delicious appetizers. The food was fresh, carefully prepared, and boasted rich, balanced flavors. We particularly enjoyed the presentation and arrangement of the food, which added artistic touches to the meal. Our experience at Roman Zaman was further enhanced by the service of Ashraf, who was attentive to our needs and offered advice professionally.Overall, dining at Roman Zaman was a pleasant and satisfying experience, and I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for an authentic Arabic culinary experience.---

Always good experience! delicious food and nice ambienceVegetarian options: Halal food
Food is high quality, but the atmosphere is what sets this place apart, such a relaxed family vibe with every ethnicity mulling through meals with smiles and jokes. Wonderful to be part of… don’t know if any readers are old enough to remember the TV show Cheers, where ‘everyone knows your name’ but that’s what this place feels like - just a bunch of friends who haven’t met yet, hanging out.

• •• Roman Zaman officially enters the list of “worst middle eastern restaurants in the GTA” •••This was once a place we went to to eat good food, get serviced decently and enjoy out time. My family and I have been visiting since 2021 religiously every weekend considering it’s Levantine halal food.Let me start off by saying, the manager of this place isn’t kind, or helpful. The servers are extremely inefficient, you have to ask for utensils for 10 minutes after your food arrives because they forget and perhaps they don’t feel like it. You have to ask for the basics (a plate, your drink to arrive, bread, sauces, salt, lemon) because considering it’s a restaurant, these ingredients are inevitable to be serviced along with your food at a middle eastern restaurant. But they don’t. They are extremely frustrating and insufferable.Food is no longer the same. The salad comes with absolutely no dressing. Cold appetizers that are not suppose to be sour will come out sour are drenched with lemon. Bread comes out cold and will take you 10 minutes to get another batch (2 pieces) of bread if you’ve finished it.Their meats are grilled okay, lacking in seasoning and ALSO cold. The fries are Costco fries so how dare I criticize. The rice is undercooked and anyone who has been to Roman zaman recently will attest to this.My family and I tonight had to ask for the smallest little details. From a sugar packet, to a fork, to a plate, for my drinks to come after I’ve asked 2 waitresses about my drinks. As I said it’s almost as if it’s a prank? perhaps it was one big joke? The coffee my parents got was cold as excepted, Kunafa was undercooked, dry and tasteless with absolutely NO syrup. A waste of $12.99 truly for something that seems to have been frozen. This is a fraction of what we’ve experienced tonight. What a joke.Unhappy and disappointed and flabbergasted aren’t enough words to articulate what my family and I feel. Will happily never visit again. Also make an apology for the Syrian people for butchering their food.00price: 5/10 (a can of pop is $4 here)cleanliness: 5/10waiting for a table: 7/10 - not a busy place

Food is unfortunately horrible. We ordered mix grill, jarjir salad, hummus, and chicken liver. The mix grill kabab tasted like old meat, akin to minced meat left out for an extended period . The chicken liver was shocking; at the bottom of the plate were French fries, topped with just one spoonful of chicken liver. The jarjir salad was excessively salty, and the hummus didn't taste like hummus at all.To be fair, the waitress came to ask if everything was okay. I replied "yes" because I wasn’t prepared to complain about the food at that moment. However, I've decided to write this review to ensure the owner reads it and improves the quality of the food.On a positive note, the atmosphere is amazing, and the staff are very welcoming and polite.
