Royal Jasmine

Located in the heart of the Dixie area, this indo-chinese restaurant looks small from the outside but is surprisingly spacious inside. I ordered a soup and a starter. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t inform us about the soup size—it was huge, enough for 4 people, even though we ordered just one to split. The soup also had a strange detergent-like taste, possibly due to a poorly cleaned bowl. The starter was decent. Overall, my first experience was disappointing, but I feel it may have been a genuine miss, and I might give it another try.

Portion was good.
Hakka flavour was amazing.
Overall food was just awesome!

We recently had an experience at Royal Jasmine that left us quite disappointed. As we walked in, we happened to run into another family we barely know from the park. Our 6 yrs old child excited to meet his new friend, ran ahead and asked for a table for seven. The server informed us there would be a 15% service charge for a larger group. Upon hearing that, the other family politely said they’d prefer to sit separately and I thought “that’s perfect!” and even better was when we were told that separate seating would mean being at different sides of the restaurant.

However, a different server suddenly intervened and said, “No, we can’t do that.” So we were left with only two options: either sit together with a family we don’t really know, or leave. Both families decided to leave.

We went next door to Gladiator, while the other family said they will drive to Salt and Pepper. I fail to understand what the issue was with two unrelated families wanting to dine separately, ordering their own meals, and paying their own bills. Instead, the restaurant lost out on what could have been a couple hundred dollars in business — all over a 15% service charge, and more future business as we will not be going back again and I am pretty sure the other family won’t either.

I ordered Schezwan Chicken Noodles, and when I got home, I found NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF CHICKEN in the noodles just plain noodles! I called the restaurant immediately and some guy named Sam, who claims to be the manager, picked up. Not only was he completely unprofessional, but also extremely rude.

He asked me to send pictures to his personal number, which I did. Then he blatantly says, “I didn’t receive anything. Do whatever you want.” Seriously?

I looked through past reviews, and I’m not the only one others have faced the same arrogant attitude from this guy. Why is management ignoring this? This kind of behavior and zero accountability will destroy your business.

Message to owner:
You’re in the service industry, and this is NOT how you treat customers. This isn’t a monopoly you’re not the only place serving noodles in town. If this is how you handle complaints, you won’t survive long. Train your staff, fix your customer service, or get ready to lose loyal customers.

The food taste was ok,
Quantity was very generous, so order accordingly!
Service got 3 because we had to write our own order and pay 15% service charge for 5 or more people.
However, they helped with faster order because we were in a rush, which we appreciate.
Atmosphere: it was crowded, noisy, and very confined tables.

I have eaten at Royal Jasmine for many years and it has been one of our choices when we think of eating hakka chinese food. However, last 3 visits we have seen that the quality and taste has not been good at all. Food is too spicy as well as too salty. Servers don't give you right information about the food.. It's disappointing to see the downfall of a good restaurant like this. We will not be going to Royal Jasmine again atleast in the near future!

I would not even consider giving a one-star rating, as the customer service has continued to deteriorate. I visited the restaurant with my family last week for dine-in, and was informed that a 15% service charge would apply to groups larger than six people. I requested to split the table, as we were separate families, but another server overheard the conversation and firmly stated that the service charge would still be applied regardless. Disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer care, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. Based on this experience, I have no intention of returning, even for takeout.

I recently dined at Royal Jasmine Restaurant and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the food was decent, the service was a major letdown. We had to wait an unusually long time to be seated and, at one point, my wife had to go to the back to grab her own cutlery and plates, as no one came to assist us. This lack of attention really detracted from the meal, and it was surprising for a place that seemed to have potential. I hope they can improve their service, as it would make a big difference to the overall experience.

Present infront of guest No spoons , no Peppers, no red chilli , soup is so sour

I usually never visit a restaurant without checking the Google reviews but in a rush today, I ordered takeout from Royal Jasmine. Eggplant, paneer, noodles and beef. The beef was ok. The other dishes were awful. Corn starch heavy "gravy" and very unappetizing.

Quality of the food has been spectacular recently. I feel like they have been getting better and better over time! Crispy beef and hot and sour soup are always a must.

They only accept Cash and Debit cards! The food is totally Desi Chinese. Yummy and lots of it!
