Visited this cafe after a very long time with my friend. My friend from the West suggested this to me. I liked their brewed coffee. The cafe was full of people chit chatting. You need to be clear that you are ordering. My friend asked for Regular and the server gave him a double double. So better tell them how much sugar and milk or cream.

It’s a place for many to just spend time occupying their seating over a cup of coffee or at times nothing at all as of its a place for public gathering.
After all they are running their business and people causally sitting there spending time and sometimes even working on their laptops should look for a public library instead.

I ordered 4 maple cold brews here, 2 that contained oat milk, however it smelled really foul and it seemed as if there were small clumps within it. At first I gave the drink the benefit of the doubt, however once i tried it I could tell the oat milk was definitely expired. So, I went back and asked if it was possible if they could remake it, however it wasn’t possible. I walked in the store and immediately saw these two workers chatting amongst themselves, doing literally nothing, and once I walked in and complained, they stated that because it looked like I had already drank the drink & it seemed half-done they couldn’t. Mind you, I had taken like one sip, and my cousin had tried it as well to confirm that there was definitely an issue. I asked if they are sure that there’s literally anything they can do, but they stated that “its not their problem,” and that they would be losing money” if they did. Ridiculous.

I visited here as a place to try while on vacation from out of the country. My order was taken quickly but with no follow up questions from the cashier at all. my drinks were fine but i felt like if it had been more of an interaction I could have been better informed to get a perfect drink. the place was clean.

UPDATE: visited again today after noon. Was surprised at how rude the staff were to customers. Despite this being a busy afternoon, everyone in line was patient & their "pleases" & "thank yous" were met with eye rolling & attitude by staff. If anything it's YOUR staff who should be thanking customers for showing up in the first place even though they have other options in the area. Second Cup is already struggling as a chain and this kind of customer service doesn't help.
Drinks were as good as they normally are with second cup (which is very good). It's also nice to step into a properly renovated Second Cup which has a really nice, fresh, bright atmosphere compared to the locations which still have the decor of 15 years ago that's falling apart. Service was good, although I didn't appreciate being yelled at abruptly 10 mins before closing time from the other end of the store by the barista announcing that they're closing. There are better & classier ways of doing that. The impression you leave on your customers is just important as the food and drink you're serving.

Hi there.
I went to the Heartland - Mississauga location August 28th around 1145am
I am deaf in my right ear.
I was standing with my deaf ear towards the cash , trying to figure out what I wanted to order.
When I finally realized that one of the employees was trying to take my order , I approached the cash and apologized and let her know I was deaf in my right ear and I could not hear anything. She was short with me, and I stated that I was going to get a new hearing aid soon. When the transaction was complete, she said to me, "You shouldn't be out on your own". My assumption is she was referencing my deafness.
I will NEVER be returning to this location if this is the way that folks with disabilities are treated.
I am hurt and disappointed.
Just for reference, I messaged you folks on Wednesday (the day the incident happened) and never received any response.
Now, it is almost 2 weeks later, and nothing has been addressed at all.

Went with my daughter for a coffee and bite to eat.
Girls at counter were nice and friendly.
Ordered a sandwich and a coffee.
My daughter had a wrap and an iced coffee.
The place was clean. Washroom was clean and not stinky.

This is a decent cafe to have pastry to eat and get some coffee on the go. The place is run well. It would be nice if they add dark mocha to their menu.

It was my first time trying Second Cup and the experience was not so great. I really wish the server were more understanding and didn’t have an attitude because honestly saying you don’t like the job don’t do it. I did mention the server it was our first time we didn’t know what drink to order so to suggest something. I had friends with me so we ended up ordering iced vanilla latte i guess and a frappe. Now frappe we thought would be sweet neither did the server mention it neither were we aware which is fine and when we tasted there was no taste. It was bland and bitter so I ended up asking the server if she could provide with a syrup on the side as it doesn’t have any taste and we had paid more for the frappe she just didn’t want to do that instead she just gave us sugar packets. Anyhow I still thought we could work our way around it but we didn’t and then I was like we have paid for it and we should at least enjoy what we paid for so I went back and I told her if she could replace the drink with the iced latte as that at least had taste and she was then ready to offer us syrup on side and that made me laugh. And then the other server comes in and we told her the story she didn’t even react she just made us the drink and they just kept it there. We thanked her for it as well but she just decided to show us attitude and leave. I would say do better. At least Tim Hortons have higher standards and they help customer customize the drink and provide something happily whatever is needed. I don’t mean to sound like a complaining customer because I work in food industry as well i know how it is but at least suggest customers better about your menu if it is their first visit. Dont recommend it. The bottom part of the drink had grinds as well not sure if the drink was made from steeped coffee or it was the espresso grinds. So not happy spending the amount I spent here.
