Sikgaek Korean Restaurant and Bar

First time trying Korean food and it was a blast! Loved the taste of the rice cakes and sausage as well as the kimchi pancake. My favorite though was the chicken in cheese sauce. So flavorful! Seating is a bit cramped though.

Food and service was great. Only thing to note is that location is not very wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair ramp from the parking lot to the entrance, and there is a huge step to get through the front door.

Service was great, from being seated to eating our orders was quite fast. It's a lively place that offers individual rooms for BBQ.

Sadly, the food didn’t quite live up to the service or vibe. Portion sizes felt underwhelming for the price, and the chicken lacked consistent seasoning. Some pieces tasted like mostly batter, which was a letdown.

My family and I absolutely love this restaurant — it’s hands down our favourite Korean spot! We’ve been here many times and always have a great experience. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the interior is beautiful, especially the cozy mini huts you can dine in. The food is consistently phenomenal. Some of our go-to dishes are the Japchae with Beef, Beef Bulgogi on Rice, Sprinkles Chicken, and the Sikgaek Japtang Ttokbokki. Honestly, I debated gatekeeping this place, but it’s too good not to share. Highly recommend!

The sign shows the restaurant closed at 11:30 pm. My family and I arrived at 10:30 pm, the waiter explained to us that the kitchen already closed. Very disappointed. They should change the business hours to open to 11 pm or earlier.

Ordered a bulgogi hot pot for takeout which was absolutely delicious. Everyone was super friendly and hospitable. Great atmosphere and vibe and they even wrote instructions lol. Thank you! :) Highly recommended will definitely go back.

Came here and ordered the dumplings and bulgogi rice bowl. It was a great price in terms of value!
Also the food was decent for the price too. I will probably order a hot plate next time I come here because they looked delicious.

I do like the idea of a button for service. Whenever you need something, just press the button and a server will be there immediately. They don’t come in and check on you if you do not press the button (something I prefer).

I would say sitting in one of those booths is a great date spot as it provides a level of privacy.

Nice atmosphere and really good service. Food is really yummy and tastes like comfort food. Loved the pork bone soup and spicy chicken on rice.
