Definitely used old oil. But the food is good here when used with fresh oil. It is on the pricier side.

This was probably the blandest burger I have ever had. The patty was grey and flavourless and the staff was disorganized and took forever to take my order. The cashier was making drinks while another person was standing there. When I finally got the food it was very disappointing and definitely not worth the $30.00 for the meal.

So I forgot to take a photo. Better that I didn’t. It started with my wife and I arriving at the airport too early for a late flight. Thinking that the long line of customers in front of the “Smash Burger”we assumed good food. The only fast food burger that my wife enjoys is a grilled chicken burger and we saw that on the menu, so we decided to order. My thinking was that the place was busy and the turnover was fast so that the food would be hot and fresh. After a 15 minute wait, the lady at the till finally got through the three customers ahead of me. A little apprehensive now I ordered my burger despite the lady saying it might take another 15 minutes.
Now you have to understand my initial guiding assumptions were flawed and biased towards a tasty, high quality experience, so I continued to accept the wait. I was so wrong! The wait was because they were inefficient and slow. The lineup I observed wasn’t because of high demand for the food as much as everyone waiting for the order to get filled.
Okay, I hear you saying… What about the food??? The answer was in the name. Imagine, a small piece of chicken that you SMASH into a very thin patti before you grill it. On high! Then leave it for a day in the belief that like old pizza it tastes better the day after. Dried out and crusty.
Add wilted lettuce tomato and a crushed bun and there you have it. My sandwich! All it cost me was $11. Can you taste it?

I ordered a veggie burger. Was a little overcooked but still edible. Ended up having severe food poisoning from the burger and/ or the lettuce and tomatoes that were included on it. I imagine not as many people order a veggie burger, and perhaps it was past its expiry date or had sat out too long in the restaurant and spoiled. Ruined entire trip. Ended up in emergency room twice and had to rebook return flight at a premium price ($1300) as too ill to travel. Will never order from there again.
FOLLOWUP: I reached out as requested & gave all the information (date, time, receipt #). I have heard nothing from the owner.

I’ve seen this place many times on my travels and always been meaning to try it. However Caplansky’s usually wins out. Today I was coming the other way so saw this and decided to try it.
Let’s just say I should never have cheated on Caplansky’s. This place is gross.
First off the cheese on my poutine was one big cold lump. Nasty.
Second the “smash burger” is not a smash burger, just a sad grey looking hamburger.
Taste was mediocre at best. Would not come here again. I suggest you avoid as well.
Slow service. Understaffed.

We fly in and out of yyz a lot. We only go there coz the kids want their food. However, this location is consistently the slooooooweest at serving their food, with no signs of improvement over the years. Proceed with caution.

I had chicken 5 fingers and got the worst food poisoning of my life. Idk if the chicken was under cooked or what but it’s ruined my whole vacation.
I know it was from them because it was the only thing I ate that my boyfriend didn’t. Everything else we shared except those chicken fingers.

My burger was partly raw. I am hoping I don’t get food poisoning. The shared food court dining area was kind of dirty and ver crowded.

When their lady at front super mean rolled her eyes when I asked for food and screamed at child DO NOT GO THEIR. On top of that the wait time to get your food is super long. Some people were missing flights . Even tho the food was siting right on the counter, takes forever for them to packages it up the place also is really dirty . And the lady at the counter proceeded to take a phone call during her shift witch sounded like she was talking to one of her friends .she held up the line to take a phone call

Fries were recooked. No flavor to the smash burger. Put together sloppily …the poutine should not be listed as the best in Canada. There are many places that beat this flavor and over priced. 2 people. $52. Unacceptable
