For the first time in 2-3 years, I began going to this particular Starbucks and was pleasantly reminded that, although pricy, their pumpkin spice coffees are delicious and the baristas are quite friendly. My birthday was December 15th, but I didn't have to work that day and don't live nearby. I went in at 6am December 16th to enjoy a traditional free Starbucks coffee and was informed by the manager that I was too late and policy had changed. I then endured a lengthy diatribe of Starbucks birthday treat history, was told to pay up, and condescendingly wished a belated happy birthday. It was a wonderful reminder that, while tasty, Starbucks is too expensive and full of themselves for my business.

On Friday Sept 20, 2024 at the Starbucks located on Eglinton and Dixie around 4:55pm, I have ordered a specific drink, out milk with caramel, for my son who has nuts allergies, and I am not sure what they added on his drink, that after 5 minutes started complaining he had difficult breathing, and throwing out. I called the store and Nick told me that they are not responsible since I didnāt specify that my son has serious allergies. I called the store to put the concern and avoid that this situation happen to another child. Come on, Starbuckās team thatās not really the answer that I was expecting from you. totally disappointed, cero empathy and service approach, I needed to run to Emergency with my son having difficulties breathing, now my son hates Starbucks for putting him in this situation.

I usually order a doppio espresso with some customization, and Vaughan Mills Starbucks often struggles with getting my order right. However, my experience at the Starbucks on Dixie Road was exceptional. I ordered three doppio espressos and some food items, and every single drink was prepared exactly as I like them. The barista, Nick, did not miss a single detail, and the coffee was perfect. Iāll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this location!
