Definitely gone down hill. The staff are useless and have no clue what’s happening or what they have.

Minimal selection of beers on draft and good luck if you don’t like anything on the menu because you can’t buy the cans and drink them outside. Seems like a dumb rule and one they don’t follow every time since I saw people drinking cans outside. Guess they thought I’d spend more on poor draft selections.

Won’t be coming back in a hurry, which is a shame as we have loved this place in the past visits.

Train your staff and think about the dumb rules you don’t follow 100% of the time.

Update for recent visit (2025): we have been going here since many years. This time around, we noticed that there were a lot more food options, but less beer options. Sand box for kids was a hit with my LO. Washroom flush didn't work, they were also out of toilet paper, will try again some other time and hopefully they add more beer options.

Stonehooker has great food and ambience. Music good. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. They need more registers and card machines. The food prep time takes over 30 minutes or more....even on non super busy times. They need to figure this out. It has been some time.

A great selection of drinks and a very clean and comfortable front garden/patio, I was very surprised that you could barely hear the car noise from Lakeshore Rd. The service is friendly and they know their beers well and were able to advise us on drinks that met our flavour preferences. It would probably be a good idea to have service that comes to the tables at the patio as well, the queue to order wasn’t too long when we went but it would improve the experience to be able to order/pay from your table.

A lot of parking and bike racks available. They have very clean toilets, which isn’t always easy to find, but I only saw one urinal and stall?

The pizza was decent but could be bigger for the price. We weren’t fans of the jerk chicken burger, it could do with longer marination and should be thicker for the price.

We did wonder if they have any water bowls for dogs as we saw a few dogs that looked very hot.

We will be returning to check out some of their live music nights.

My lovely wife and I have eaten out enough to know a good place from a bad place. We meet a friend there and bought him lunch. The beer we had was the only thing we enjoyed. The fried corn on the cob was cold. Who has a cold corn on the cob. The salad our friend had was as interesting as measles. The pizza we all shared that had figs on it was also cold. We think the cheese that was to go on it was forgotten. Avoid this place as much as you can. No deep fryer for fries and apparently no oven to heat up a pizza. The only good thing about the place was Viki who was friendly and asked a few times if all was okay. If our friend was not there I would of paid for the beer and left.

This place has immense potential. One day it will get there. I am rooting for you! I had to google the name Stonehooker and wow there is depths of heavy history here. I like very much!

This is my local brewery. Great beer garden and outdoor space. They have recently improved the food menu. My wife wishes they would offer wine or seltzer alternative. Nice spot for a summer day.

One of the best place to chill a Mississauga

Hade really very bad experience with them. Staff were rude and they don’t know how to treat a customer and very impatient. I would not be visiting them ever again.

The owner and his personal are unprofessional and rude to their guests.

THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER DINED AT!!! First of all, they completely lied to use and mooched us off. They had a ticketed event which was supposed to start at 7, they lied. But it didn't start at 7, it started at 8. Mind you, they took 40 dollar for this. And even once it did start, it was like a few songs followed by 15 minutes break each time.

But that wasn't even the worst part. They charge for 10 oz of beer what others charge for 16 oz. Which is okay if the beer is good. But here, when I ordered a stout, they gave a glass full of 10% beer and 90% foam and then just asked us to wait it out and put up with it. I saw them doing the same with pitchers for other people. And for this, you have to wait in a line. There is no table service outside yet the expect you to pay some 15-20% tip. Plus they have a sorry little express bar counter outside which doesn't have the entire beer menu. So if you want to try something they don't have outside, you stand in line inside and wait 10-15 minutes and miss on the songs played outside because it takes them that long to pour a beer even once you go in.

Next let's come to food. Absolutely garbage food. They give something like ribs on a pathetic small plastic plate with small plastic low quality cutlery even though they charge 27 dollars for it..they gave a buzzer which didn't work so the ribs were cold by the time by husband went searching for it..they didn't even heat it up. I ordered a nacho as well with add on guacamole. They took more than half an hour for it, gave the worst possible nacho I have ever had, with hardly any cheese at all and they didn't give my guacamole. When we asked for it, they refused to give it. They have no table service but again, you are expected to pay in tips what you would pay anywhere else with a decent service.

TOTAL RIP OFF. In fact the entire experience was so very bad that we had to leave the event just to have actual food at a decent place.
