I ordered the curry chickpea value meal with rice and peas and oxtail gravy. However, I didn’t get any curry or gravy. Won’t be ordering again.

I just went there to eat dinner. The restaurant is closed. I believe this is permanent. There is a notice about Lease being terminated. No more tables & chair inside. I am regular here, I like their j*** chicken very much.

I was there today (Oct.6, 2022) The place is closed. I believe this is permanent as there is notice of Lease Termination on the door. There is no more tables & chairs. It's dark inside.

This place has great taste and nice service. They dont give anywhere near as much rice or meat quantity as the other locations though. When you pay $4.50 for a large coleslaw, You usually get a large cup but honesty never filled to the top which is to be expected of but this place is so bad for the coslaw it taste amazing but they only gives you just over a half full medium cup for 4.50 you would be better off buying 4 side salads for 1.00 each it would be double the amount i got in my "large" today so sad. Crazy how one location portions is so different from others. Best portion size is the rockwood mall location! Thank me later

Never ordering Ubereats from this location ever again. I’ve ordered probably five times in the past. They’re always missing items. They alwayssss delay like 30-60 mins longer than the ETA, which i experience with almost no other restaurant on ubereats. Its literally just them. And my order was small, it should not be taking over an hour to prepare. Judging by all the other reviews, it must be a bunch of lazy big gyals that work there

I just had a horrible experience today with cashier (10AM on a Sunday with an older lady in glasses) this is the first time I had to wait 30 minutes for Ackee and Saltfish and the portion size was minimal and missing something. I just find it strange how I’m the customer patiently waiting but shes the one that was complaining. I asked for plantains and she complained and said “why don’t you have a banana instead?” (With attitude) She then went in the back SEVERAL times to complain to cook about me (she probably assumed that I couldn’t hear anything). Upon Sunrise receiving my payment, I even had to ask for a bag, cutlery and the receipt (I shouldn’t have to ask for this) I ended up paying for the meal anyways because I just wanted the experience to be over, without dispute. For next time, please hire staff that know how to treat customers with respect..I have been a loyal customer for years, I can comfortably say that you just lost a loyal customer.

The rice and peas was cold and tough. The rice grains felt hard and dried out. The employee that “helped” us had a sour vibe about her. Short, stout/heavy set, black girl, with twist dreads and glasses I believe. Sour. No coleslaw or steam veggies and like I said the interaction with this employee was sour. How she spoke/replied to us was like we were begging for free food - as if we weren’t paying for it. Poor experience. I will avoid this location. It’s been a while since I’ve been to this location (Hurontario/Eglinton). It’s not always like this but it should never happen in my opinion. Dry employee and dry rice. The BBQ chicken was good.

In fact, serving is poor and the food container is small compared to the Sunrise restaurant in Brampton at Steeles and Kennedy. When I buy food from Sunrise Brampton I get value for my money. This Mississauga Sunrise servers have to be retrained. A Standardized food containers should be used across all Sunrise restaurant like the ones used in the Brampton location. I don't think people who work here know what they are doing.

You risk an order with missing items and add-ons if ordering through UberEats. In an order, every single meal was missing items (no veggies), and sides were not included. Wondering how a simple thing on a large order can be overlooked this easily

Good food terrible customer service.Very stingy with serving sizes considering the prices. It’s always 50/50 eating experience you’re either happy or super unsatisfied.

Soup was sour and the “chicken” was all batter no chicken. Tried calling their number to let them know, but the number is not in service. Not okay!

Trini here. Does flavour exist at this establishment anymore? Or is that a thing of the past. Lately the food has been tasting what we like to call.." a hard day wuk." Meaning...no effort. If I think this, Lord knows what actual Yardies think. My goodness. 0 flavour. 0 authenticity. Jamaican restaurants are like McDonalds. They're all over. Step up your game or lose out on your bottom line. Re-train chef.

This is just such a disappointment! How is this what you're serving as an establishment for breakfast ?? This isn't even boiled dumpling like really, the plantain were so hard and not even able to be consumed. Do not go to Sunrise if you're looking for an authentic Jamaican breakfast experience. The food is subpar beyond words

Fast, friendly service. Delicious stewed oxtail. They also offer value portions for most menu items.

I always order through Uber eats. I try and call every time to find out what the soup of the day is but either nobody answers the phone or it goes straight to some automated message. So I order the soup anyways since it’s usually good but EVERY TIME it’s the red pea soup… why call it soup of the day if it’s red pea every time!!? Their chicken soup has way too much thyme and that’s all you can taste. One time they sent lamb head soup instead of red pea which I actually hope for every time I get soup of the day.. but no it’s 99% time red pea soup.. they should just put the red pea on the menu if that’s all they serve anyways.. tired of the disappointment lol if someone could let me know which days they serve other soup than red pea that would be great!
