To whom it may concern,
I have been coming to Sunset Grill since before Covid. For the last five years, especially with my son, we have truly enjoyed our monthly visits. A big part of that experience has always been one of your kind servers, who consistently greeted us with a warm smile and genuine care. She always made our mornings special and even surprised my son with a Mickey Mouse face on his pancake for his birthday. That level of hospitality is what kept us returning.

However, I am not happy with some recent changes I have noticed during my last two visits. Please consider addressing the following concerns as soon as possible:

(1) A balanced and diverse team is important. I noticed that the current staff appear to come from only one cultural or racial background, and that they frequently speak to each other in their own language while serving. This feels unprofessional in a customer-facing setting, and it impacts the welcoming environment I was used to.

(2) Servers should ensure they communicate consistently with customers and check for any questions or clarifications needed during the dining experience. Eye contact and smiles are powerful, and this used to be a noticeable strength at this location. Recently, I am unsure if this is still part of the training, but it seems to be lacking.

(3) While paying, I saw a staff member using her bare hands to press down the top portion of a sandwich inside a take-out box. This raises concerns about hygiene and food safety. Gloves—or proper utensils—should be used at all times when handling food.

Overall, I am disappointed with these recent experiences. I hope these concerns are taken seriously, as my family and I have always enjoyed Sunset Grill and would like to continue visiting.

Looking for immediate change by our next visit so that we will continue visiting.

This was the go to place for breakfast for my family but recently the food quality has gone down. A few months ago my father found HAIR in his omelette! That’s disgusting!! And recently I was eating their omelette and I found a piece of GLASS!!! That’s absolutely unacceptable!!

I’ve been visiting since 2017, and I’ve noticed a lot of changes over time. It seems the ownership or management has changed, and unfortunately, the quality has gone down. The food, which used to taste really good, has noticeably declined. The chef should be made aware of this. Lately, I’ve noticed that some of the kitchen staff—especially the girls who are now preparing and cooking—are not maintaining the same standard.

The taste is just not the same anymore. During my last visit, I also saw that the grill section was quite messy. The sausages were overcooked and even burned. Overall, the food quality has really gone downhill. A proper, experienced chef is needed to bring back the original quality and consistency that loyal customers like me used to enjoy. It’s disappointing to see such a decline in something that used to be so good.

I visited this Sunset Grill location on July 28, 2025. The setting was pleasant, and our waitress was very friendly. Both my daughter and I ordered the Eggs Benedict, which were okay—but the home fries that came with them were honestly the worst potatoes I’ve ever had. They were soggy, most pieces were burnt, and the taste was terrible.

For $17.49 a plate, I expect a much better standard. The cook seriously needs to learn how to make proper home fries. When you're paying that much for eggs, the sides should not be burnt, soggy, and flavorless.

Sunset Grill never disappoints! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about your experience.

The food is always fresh, delicious, and made to order. Whether you’re in the mood for classic bacon and eggs, fluffy pancakes, or a healthy omelette, everything is cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, and the coffee keeps coming just the way it should at a great breakfast spot.

It’s clear that both the kitchen and front-of-house teams take pride in their work. You feel like a valued guest, not just another customer. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying breakfast or brunch with top-notch service!

We have gone to so many sunset grills and this by far is our favourite locations - thank you for ensuring the portions are consistent, food is served hot, and service is always kind and welcoming. This is our new spot weekly!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Sunset Grill twice, and unfortunately, my second experience left much to be desired. I ordered the Eggs Florentine and Double Chocolate Chip Pancakes, but was disappointed with both dishes.

The Eggs Florentine was supposed to feature three eggs, but instead of serving them separately, they were mixed together on the English muffin, obscured beneath the hollandaise sauce. When I pointed out that it appeared to contain only two eggs, the server checked with the cook and insisted that there were indeed three eggs, which was frustrating.

As for the Double Chocolate Chip Pancakes, I expected a rich chocolate batter, but what I received were standard chocolate chip pancakes made with a plain white batter and just a drizzle of chocolate sauce on top. To make matters worse, they were quite dry and not the indulgent treat I hoped for.

Given this experience, I'm afraid I won’t be returning. I truly hope they can improve their dishes to match the expectations they set.

Food - good, some complaints at the table of over salted.
Service - ok, but didn't check in on how's everything other than to ask for coffee refill (oh yes, person at our table.who has coffee said it was awful, declining their usual 2nd and 3rd cup).
Atmosphere - floor was dirty, salt found on table, place was too warm, saw another table and a waitress fanning themselves, we asked if they could turn down heat, and reverse fan which was in heat position (they eventually propped open the entrance door)
