Insanely disappointing food. The eggs are cooked terribly. The beyond burger wasn't even a real beyond burger - it tasted like dry cardboard.
The only good thing was the potatoes that came beside the eggs Benedict. Insanely high prices for such low quality food. Such a shame that this place has become so bad...

Vegetarian options: Didn't pay attention to request for no cheese on my salad. Thankfully they were quick to change out my side salad

I recently visited this establishment, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is decent, with a pleasant ambiance that initially made me hopeful for a good meal. However, my optimism quickly faded.

The first issue I noticed was that the carrots in my dish were poorly peeled, which raised concerns about the care taken in the kitchen. But the real dealbreaker was discovering what appeared to be roach skin in my cousins food. This is completely unacceptable and poses a serious health risk.

On a positive note, the servers were friendly and did their best to provide good service despite the circumstances. However, no amount of effort from the staff can make up for the severe issues with food preparation and cleanliness.

I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses them promptly. Until then, I would advise against dining here.

Symposium has been a fan favorite of mine. Unfortunately until the new ownership. And my review isn't based on a 1x visit. I always give the benefit of the doubt. So tried it again a couple more times. The food was sub par and took forever. The place is beautiful however very run down and unkempt. Tables and floors are dirty. The bathrooms, well, were gross. And the service, is so chaotic. They are short staffed. They don't seem to know what is going on. Very un-engaging. And slow. Once I waited over 40 minutes to get the bill to pay, after asking 3x for the bill. I almost walked out without paying and ended up walking to the bar myself and paid. Note: the restaurant wasn't even full.
I want to give this spot another opportunity as it was a personal favorite but hopefully if they read the reviews and make some very necessary changes and improvements.

Raw chicken wings. But still had to pay for them.
Waitress seemed so uncomfortable doing her job.

The service was not good. We were sitting and talking after finishing our dinner with drinks and dessert, at which point we were told there was a 1 hour limit for dinner. Basically we were being kicked out. This was not mentioned when we first sat down and the place was not busy at all. We had been one of maybe 5 tables that evening. I do not recommend this place.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night. One of the perhaps 5 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. After spending about $45/person pre-tip, my friend and I were hanging out and talking for maybe 10-15 mins when the manager came over and very bluntly told us they had a set eating time of "about 2 hours" which no one mentioned when we sat down. He then said that dinner time was limited to "1 hour if you're not going to order anything else".
We arrived at 7 pm and this was 9:45 pm with the posted closing time of 11 pm. There were still 2 tables sitting down and there wasn't exactly a line of people waiting to be seated.

Not a great place to grab a coffee and chat with a friend. Constant visits by the staff to try and make you buy more or leave.

Chai latte was milk and vanilla syrup with absolutely zero Chai and was disgustingly sweet.

Eggs and toast came out cold.

Homefries potatoes were old, hard, and stale.

Despite an otherwise empty restaurant, they squished everyone into the same small area so it was really loud.

Servers did not bring water…

The waitress didn't seem to want to be there. Our booth was not cleaned, although our maître d attempted to slap my mother's side of the booth with his tea towel, my side had crumbs on it. As for the booth floor, there was food and a used paper napkin on it.

The seafood pasta needed added depth of flavor, and the sauce was oily. My mother's Symposium burger had barely a squirt of sauce, the fries tasted like cardboard and turkey sausages on the side were so so.

Overall, a nice atmosphere, available outdoor seating, clean enough bathrooms, and friendly manager. They brought us extra ketchup, Symposium sauce (which is basically French dressing) and mayonnaise, which we attempted to improve the food with.
