The much-celebrated halwa puri comes with a hefty price tag that feels like a rip-off, given the pitifully tiny portions—each item in the takeaway tray barely reaches a measly 2 mm, leaving you hungry for more!

Customer service from Taqwa is not good. The young girls should be trained how to talk to customers. They should learn from Tabq staff who have always treat customers politely.

The much hyped halwa puri is over priced for the measly quantity. The portions barely filled 2 mm of each item in the takeaway tray. Prepare to pay extra for a card payment and dont expect the cashier to inform you of extra charges. Parking area is unorganized and as a reminder of the visit, you will surely have a scratch on the door courtesy of reckless drivers.
Much rather go somewhere else and pay a little more for better quantity of good food whilst maintaining mental sanity while car is parked safely.

“I really love the Tabaq special food. It’s one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever tasted. The combination of spices, flavors, and presentation is just perfect. I think what makes it so special is the unique blend of traditional and modern cooking styles. Whenever I visit Tabaq Restaurant, I never miss ordering this dish because it always satisfies my taste buds and reminds me of authentic Pakistani cuisine.”

I want to know companies like Tim Horton throws its donuts etc after evening what are the rules for this Desi restaurant. I ordered beef paya was of no use took one hour with a rude order taker . Desi style behaviour when restaurant is running behave like this. I wish any ministry go and check their food on regular basis

Extremely disappointing experience. The staff repeatedly forgot our orders, creating total confusion throughout the process. There was no coordination, and it felt completely chaotic trying to get a simple meal. Definitely not ordering from here again.

Food is still good but their CHAI is horrible. Pakistani restaurants do not serve chai with MASALA. two people complained about chai in front of me and no replacement was offered to both of us

Used to be good. New staff do not know how to handle orders in sequence and rather give away many small orders and keep making large orders wait. I came here every weekend and it was never like this like its now. Very bad service. Rude if u nicely ask them for status and charged me extra naan eventhoigh I know 1 naan comes with large halwa or channa

Please teach these people how to serve customer. This is the first I am reviewing the restaurant. Because I felt de respected and I left with my kids without ordering food. It never happened with in Canada since I am here. Please teach them keep the differences aside while they are working. First time I felt racism in Canada between Pakistani and Indian. I could have create a big scene show that Indian women and I don’t want to create a scene. So I left, I came always from far away to had eat with my two kids there. Sorry I won’t be back anymore.

For a genuine Pakistani culinary experience, consider visiting this location.
You will be pleasantly surprised to discover a basement food court featuring a business operated by ladies who serve homemade cuisine. The establishment consistently attracts a sizable crowd, surpassing other food outlets.
A visit is necessary to enjoy the delicious food.

✨🌟✨“My visit to Tabaq Restaurant was such a delightful experience. Their chana puri is honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time – the chanas were perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and spiced just right, while the puris were light, crispy, and non-greasy, which made the whole dish feel fresh and satisfying. It really gave that perfect blend of traditional taste and comfort food vibes. I also tried their murgh chana with naan, and it was simply outstanding. The chicken was tender and juicy, cooked in a flavorful gravy with chickpeas that had the right balance of spices. Pairing it with their soft, fluffy naan made it even more enjoyable, every bite felt wholesome and fulfilling. On top of the food, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and family-friendly, which made the whole experience even better. If you are someone who loves authentic desi flavors, Tabaq is definitely the spot to visit. I would highly recommend trying their chana puri and murgh chana with naan – these dishes alone are worth the visit!”✨⭐️✨🌟

Tabaq is a decent place to stop by if you’re nearby.

We tried the halwa poori platter ($8), along with lassi ($3) and tea ($2). The portions were generous and definitely value for money, but the flavors didn’t really stand out — the food was filling yet lacked that extra punch of taste you’d expect.

The ambiance is on the weaker side. It gets crowded and feels a bit cramped during busy times, so it’s not the most comfortable spot to sit for long.

The service was okay — not bad, but not particularly attentive either.

Overall, good for a quick, affordable meal, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way to revisit.

Located in a food court in a plaza. The butter chicken and kebab were pretty good. I’d pass on the chaat papri.
