If you are visiting Tabaq, or any other place here, you are coming for the cheap/ decent food and not the ambiance as there isn’t much. Located inside the mall, you have to walk past a series of random stores, handful of barbers to get to the food court. There is a decent amount of seating available, but be prepared to wait for a table. Limited sitting for a large family (to sit together). There are several stores offering the same food but Tabaq had the longest line. What I enjoyed was seeing all these women all different ages working, it appeared to be a family business. There was an assembly line to get through the orders quickly. I ordered and received my food fairly quickly. You cat go wrong with a $7.99 nashta. The puri was good. The chick peas were flavourful, the halwa was soft (almost runny) it came paired with raitaa & acchar (pickled mango). The flavour wasn’t bad, I didn’t find everything to be a little oily, wasn’t able to finish it. The chai was good. Overall, for a cheap Pakistani breakfast, I would recommend it!

Even after calling them, and my dad going there in person to tell them 50 times to cook the kebabs well done, it was still raw. It's like they don't care about what you have to say. I told them to make my kebab crispy, and the fries crispy and fresh. BOTH were LIMP AND SOGGY. Fries were a joke - they only put like 7 in my box. The kebab was disgusting. It's like the just put the meat on the skewer and in the microwave for 2 minutes. When I opened my box one of the kebabs was already broken in the middle so when I checked inside, it was white and the outer wasn't well done at all. I like my meats almost burnt because when they look raw it grosses me out. I've been eating here since I was 8 years old, and as time progresses, their food tastes just like this experience.

I called this restaurant to ask if they serve hand slaughtered meat or machine slaughtered and then the receptionist/owner just said i don't know and dropped the call. Why most of these desi restaurants have so rude behaviour..
