My first J BBQ experience but its the best ACYE ive been to

Rude receptionist, bad service experience, beef is bad and off color. Not recommended.

Service is very good. Over all food here is not bad. Hope the salads can be made fresher.

The service was okay, they definitely did what they needed to do. Our biggest issue was the beef, we had ordered the Marinated Kalbi and it was extremely chewy, full of silver skin, fat, gristle and inedible. This honestly goes for every beef cut that they had. Not much for value here.

5 stars for my server Anthony. He is polite and respectful. Asking for my opinion and care about client experience. Meat are also very fresh and juicy. Highly recommend to try!

First and foremost, I want to highlight the exceptional service we received from our server, Vasilina. She was the standout of our evening and played a major role in making our first visit to Takumi so memorable. Despite how busy the restaurant was, Vasilina was professional, humorous, and incredibly personable. She greeted us with a warm smile, took the time to explain how everything worked (which was especially helpful as first-time guests), and guided us through the menu, even explaining dishes we weren’t familiar with. Her attention to detail and genuine care for the customer experience went above and beyond — service like this is rare and deserves recognition.

The food was equally impressive. We sampled a wide variety from the grill — beef, lamb, chicken, fish, and vegetables — and each item was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. The appetizers were also delicious, showcasing the kitchen's range and attention to quality. The menu offers a great mix of options for all tastes.

The atmosphere was vibrant and energetic, which made for an enjoyable dining experience. However, I do believe some updates to the decor would really elevate the restaurant overall. The space feels a bit dated, and some of the furnishings — particularly the cracked plexiglass dividers — are showing signs of wear. The menus themselves are worn and could benefit from reprinting or, better yet, transitioning to a digital system with photos of each dish. A small investment here would go a long way in matching the high standard of the food and service.

In summary, Takumi delivers exceptional food, top-tier service, and a fun dining experience. With a few updates to the physical space and presentation, it could truly become one of Mississauga’s standout dining destinations. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to Takumi all year around for approx 3 years now. This became our spot around the time when we first met and let me tell you, it’s never let us down. This became our fave lunch/dinner ayce spot. THE FOOD: 10/10 - Given that you have to cook & season the meat yourself (which I love) the food comes out great if you know how to cook :) Sushi options are limited but still great! THE ATMOSPHERE: 10/10 - they greet each costumer as they enter. Very friendly staff & service is great! It is a bit fast paced with orders coming out. DESSERT: 10/10 you have options like Melona (I recommend the honeydew), crème brûlée. Overall it’s a great place for dates, family outing & celebrations. Thank Takumi for being mine and my boyfriend’s favourite spot ✨🎀
