Food quality has drastically decreased. No longer the fine dine spot. Minuscule quantity, bland taste of few items and extremely pricey. We spend over 120 per person.

Tamarind Modern Indian Bistro is truly a gem! The ambience is warm, stylish, and welcoming—perfect for a relaxed evening out. The soft lighting and elegant décor set just the right mood, and the live songs played in the evening added a beautiful touch, creating an atmosphere that felt both lively and soothing.
The food was absolutely outstanding—each dish was bursting with authentic flavors yet presented with a modern twist. From appetizers to mains, everything was cooked to perfection and full of taste. The drinks menu was equally impressive, offering a great selection of cocktails and beverages that paired wonderfully with the food.
Overall, Tamarind delivers a complete dining experience with its fantastic ambience, soulful evening music, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. A must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy Indian cuisine in a contemporary and vibrant setting!

Staff do not know how to treat there customers. Passes comment on our back. Should know what customer service.
Went for dinner in tamrind today, the experience is very worst over there. The staff (girl with glasses) had rude attitude towards the customer. The way of talking with customer is unprofessional and rude. We went over there before couple of times. The experience is always good. But with this staff member is worst then worst. She doesn’t had etiquette when customer is eating food there is not need to use bad words , like she said don’t know where they came from , don’t know how to read and write. Even acc to us she don’t know how to talk with customer and her manager know that’s well. Even manager is very polite and apologise for her behaviour. But she was like she owns the place. Never coming back here again.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Food, Worth the Wait!
I recently visited Tamarind in Mississauga and the food was absolutely amazing! The Chicken Biryani and Butter Chicken were both rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — easily some of the best I’ve had in the area. Their desserts were also a highlight — delicious and beautifully presented.
The overall experience was great, with a nice ambiance and a welcoming vibe. The only downside was the service — it did take quite a long time for the food to arrive, which was a bit frustrating. However, once the food came, it definitely made up for the wait.
If you're not in a rush and want to enjoy some truly delicious Indian cuisine, Tamarind is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for sure :)

Premium price for average food.
This place was great, the food was delicious. My table was 6 people, had dirty cups but they replaced it. The live music was great very loud and hard to hear but beautiful vibe. The cost was okay if split by 6 people but double check your bill as they had issues dividing the cost and added prices to the large bill that was not part of the bill. We did a birthday cake but you have to pay for it.

Enjoyed delicious samosas this afternoon in the busy atmosphere of the CNE's food building! Based on these alone, I would happily check out their Mississauga restaurant. The samosas were crisp and hot with not a trace of oil. They were co.pletelystuffed

Although this restaurant is listed in Michelin recommendation for Indian food in Toronto, it is not worth. We ordered 3 starters and 3 main course dishes. For starters we ordered Tandoori Fish, Malai Tikka and Achari chicken tikka. Except the fish tikka, the starters were below average. Acahri chicken tikka had no flavor at all. For main course we ordered dhaba chicken and butter chicken. Dhaba chicken was pathetic. Butter chicken was below average. Other than the live music and service, everything else was poor to below average. I don't know why they are listed on Michelin recommendation. This place is not worth the money, time and calories.

such a bad service! the food was cold and the manager refused to even acknowledge that. i've been here thrice but im never coming back again. does not deserve a Michelin star!
MUSIC
my review is only for live band music.
The music is very loud here, you can’t even talk or hear anything so do not go if you have a small baby , they don’t care about it to slow it down.
