Asli Shawarma

Prices at Asli Shawarma are reasonable, but the food quality was very poor. The meals I ordered were undercooked, messy, and sauces were leaking everywhere. I placed four orders, and they were literally thrown into the bag carelessly, making the whole order look unprofessional and unacceptable.

The falafel I ordered was disgusting and had nothing to do with the real taste of falafel. As for the burger, it was dripping sauce like water that looked like blood, and even worse, it was hot on the outside but ice-cold on the inside, which is clear evidence of incompetence in cooking and preparation.

Another serious issue is hygiene. Neither the food nor the staff’s cleanliness was at an acceptable level. Employees must pay much more attention to their personal hygiene, especially since they are handling food for customers.

After eating, I experienced stomach pain that lasted into the next day, which completely destroyed my trust in this restaurant. Cheap prices do not excuse unsafe food, poor hygiene, and lack of professionalism. I will never order from here again, and I strongly warn others to be cautious.

Very good deal and provided us good portions.

This spot used to be Taza Express, now it’s rebranded as Asli Shawarma—but trust me, nothing changed except the sign outside. The quality has fallen off a cliff. The food is straight up gross, like bottom-of-the-barrel shawarma tier. This place somehow makes Osmow’s and Lazeez look like Michelin star fine dining.

The chicken? Imagine chewing on a burnt eraser—dry, rubbery, no flavor, just sadness. The fries are passable, the rice is bland to the point of depression, and the sauces only bring heat with zero taste. It’s like they skipped seasoning altogether and thought chili powder was a personality.

The management? Nice folks, but it feels like they’re running the place blindfolded. Honestly, it’s tragic. If you’re starving, you’d be better off licking the shawarma posters on the wall.

Food was incredible! The place was PACKED when we went so it was difficult to move around but eventually we found a table. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely go again!

The service was very slow. There were five staff members behind the counter, but only myself and one other customer in the restaurant. We waited about 20 minutes for our food, and it still wasn’t ready. The staff even forgot our order and asked us twice what we were waiting for.

I believe the manager or owner was present, but instead of helping the team, they stood around chatting and actually pulled team members away from working. I also noticed concerning hygiene practices, for example, they lady white shirt look like manager or owner used the same gloves to handle food after touching the POS system, and one manager or owner in winter jacket was counting items in the kitchen without covering his mouth or mask on.

On the positive side, the food looked and tasted good. However, the management could definitely benefit from more training in professionalism and supporting their team, rather than distracting them from their work.

Great food. The owner is so nice and very welcoming. If you love spice this is the place to go. I was unexpectedly alarmed by how spicy my wrap was but it was so amazing. My bathroom is going to have quite the event when I get I get home but boy is it worth it.

Just picked up a takeout and opened it up within 10 mins. It smelled horrible! Not sure how they have these great reviews when they sell foul smelling spoiled food. Never going again
