I ordered a milk tea, but the tapioca pearls were rock hard—completely inedible. It was obvious they used old tapioca to cut costs. When I asked for a remake with fresh pearls, the owner lady looked very annoyed and wouldn’t let her employee make it; she insisted on doing it herself.
The result? A drink overloaded with ice and barely any real ingredients. As you can see in the photo, the tea was so diluted it had almost no flavor. I ended up tossing it and went to Gong Cha nearby at 90 Burnhamthorpe Rd instead. Their tea is much better, with fresh tapioca, and 35% cheaper.
If you’re a fan of Ube definitely try the Deerioca Puff!
Can't you provide better bags? This is absolutely ridiculous! I specifically bought this to bring to a friend, walked for a total of five minutes, and the bag already tore!
One of the lady cashiers was lowkey rude. Although I entered my order on the machine, there was no smile, thank you or have a good one or enjoy ur drink kinda greeting at the end while giving me the drink.
The alley has a lot of unique bubble tea options to choose from. My favourite is the Snow Velvet Wintermelon Punch as the cheese top combined with the wintermelon tea was really good. The staff were friendly and made drinks as quickly as possible. It gets crowded fast, so you may have to wait a little bit to get your order.
I was so excited to try The Alley and I had to go to another store because both employees were on their cellphones. There was so much to do and no one was working, the glass at the entrance was dirty so I didn’t wan to take a chance cause there’s no way they can keep the machines and counters clean if they’re don’t have task lists to complete during their shifts.
Got the jasmine milk tea, tasted really good. It wasn’t too overly sweet (got less sugar). The staff was also very friendly.
The little black balls in my deerioca were HARD and RAW 😞
Love the alley. Cozy and warm vibes. The associates are helpful and kind and the drinks are great! I recommend the deerioca.
Very rude employees not trying to accommodate anything and giving the suggestion to go to another bubble tea place, which is totally unprofessional and rude disappointed from the Customer Service of the girl and by working there today!!

Every time I go to Square One I pass by the Alley for their refreshing bubble tea. Today Hongke (my apologies if I misspelled) was the best she took my order and helped me set up an account. I loved her energy, she was so friendly and energetic!
The alley is tucked away in a corner, so I always forget there’s a bubble tea place there. I had asked for a drink that had coffee in it, so they recommended something blended. I had asked for it to be half sweet, but my goodness.. it was very very sweet. I didn’t know what to expect, it was ok but I couldn’t drink the whole thing.
Nice friendly service, good bubble tea and many options to choose from.
Depending on time and day might take a bit longer but that’s a given seeing the crowds at square one.
Recommend if your looking for bubble tea at the mall!

This store cannot keep up with the demand at square one, and owner will not hire enough staff.
Waited 34 minutes for a simple bubble tea in the middle of the day, and on top of it all they ran out of ingredients in that time
