Was good. Next time I'll get chicken instead of the sausage but it was all pretty good

Did a takeout from the nearby smokehouse for the very first time after landing from Texas.
The meats were delicious and the sides were great. Just that the sausages were a little dense and oily.
Special shout out to Randy for the superb service.
Will come by again.

Food was alright when it got remade cause it came out cold. Husband loved his brisket burger but Garlic parm wings didn’t even taste any garlic. Staff were great and friendly! Thank you for your service.

I walked into the restaurant genuinely excited after seeing all the great food reviews online. When we arrived, the server asked if we had a reservation, which felt a bit odd since the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Nevertheless, he seated us quickly and mentioned that the menu was digital and could be accessed by scanning a QR code. Personally, I found that a little unfortunate, as I often dine with older family members who prefer seeing photos on a printed menu.

We decided to go with the “Three Yard Deal” for $108 CAD, along with two Cokes. The food came out surprisingly fast, but the portions were quite small — which was disappointing for something meant to serve two to three people.

We sampled a bit of everything, and while most items were fine, the macaroni salad really missed the mark. It was overly salty and watery, that made it hard to enjoy. We actually couldn’t finish it. On the bright side, the short ribs were fantastic — tender, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal.

When the server came to check on us, I shared my honest feedback politely, mentioning both the positives and the issues. I also noted that the value didn’t quite match the price, especially with the small portions and how salty the salad was. He apologized and went to “see what he could do,” but when he returned, all he offered was a Caesar salad, which we declined as it wouldn’t really feed all three of us and we were already thrown off by some of the other flavours like the smoked chicken.

After that, the tone of service changed noticeably — the server seemed frustrated and had a bit of an attitude when we declined the salad and asked for the bill. He already had it printed and ready, which gave off the impression he was eager for us to leave.

In total, we paid around $130 after tax, which felt quite steep given the portion sizes and overall experience. We chose not to tip. What started as a 4-star visit quickly dropped to a 1. While the food had some great elements (again, those short ribs deserve credit), the poor handling of feedback and lack of basic customer care left a bad impression.

Also — a small note for a smoked meat
restaurant — no wet wipes available and only one lonely pair of gloves in the box… 🤣 Not exactly ideal for sticky hands!

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return or recommend this place based on this experience.

I dont think prices justify the taste. Also waiters tried to speed us up and started taking plates while the food was there. It was intentional.

Tasty food, good portions and super friendly staff. There’s really nothing else I can ask of it. The price is a little high but it’s about standard for quality bbq. The meat was tender, the sides were good. We got the whole 9 yards to split among 5 ppl and we were more than full by the end. Would probably recommend it more for groups of 6. I was pleased by everything on the 9 yards set.

Location sung in an open concor at the base of a building. Be careful opening the entry door. It's solid and heavy to open. Had to use two hands and all my body strength to grip and open and didn't consider the wind factor. On the plus side, it was warm inside. The interior, liked the dry wood on the wall.
Al was the attending server. Very informative about the process and ingredients about the dishes. Ordered the short ribs with one BBQ sauce and added two sides: Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Added 2 sauces to try: chimichurri and golden sauce. Also, ordered the corn bread dessert to try it out.
First came the Caesar salad. To plain. The creaminess was ok. The flavour is a bit mild. It was included. Next, the tray. The streamy rising above the meat. Ooh goodness. The bone came out easy. Tender meat. I was astounded to enjoy its simplicity. The BBQ sauce found to be more tangy/bold with vinegar!? Mild sweet. Chimichurri found to be too much acidity and overpowered the herbs flavour. The gold sauce was I think/remember honey and mustard not choice for short ribs but be more suited for their chicken sandwich. I like the sauce on its own. The Mac and cheese was ok. The pasta was tender and firm however, the cheese sauce was mild to my liking. I would like more cheese and aroma. The second side dish was good in a subtle balance combination of cream and potatoes. A little bit of gravy on top. Gravy, I don't remember the taste or just lost on the short rib.
The dessert, not too happy about the size of corn bread to its price. The topping decorations was wonderful. Yet it masked the size portion of the corn bread. Al helped out. Not recommend their corn bread dessert.
Overall worth a visit for a different take on smoke meats.

We decided to try this place because of the reviews, but honestly, the food was pretty underwhelming. It’s alright, but for the price, I expected more. The meat was a bit dry, though the back ribs were perfect. We also ordered wings and a burger—the burger was decent, but the wings had a feather still attached. I told the server, and he immediately took care of it, replacing them without issue. The replacement wings were fine, so I appreciated the quick response. Unfortunately, the BBQ corn was probably the worst I’ve ever had. It was cold, flavorless, and burnt.

The restaurant itself is decent, but since they don’t serve alcohol, there were a lot of kids. On the day we visited, kids were running around yelling, and at one point, one even put their toy car on our table. The parents didn’t seem to care, so the server had to step in and ask the child to leave.

Overall, it’s an okay restaurant with great service, but the food is just average—not bad, but not amazing either. They really need a better policy regarding kids. It’s a smokehouse, which I imagine is meant to be a date-night kind of place, but the chaotic atmosphere made it hard to enjoy.
