You order a gin & tonic and they GOOGLE THE RECIPE, then cant find tonic and their coworkers say "use club soda its the same thing"! WOW.. embarassing!

In response to the owner wanting a detailed review... I understand that the holiday hours are in effect now and the pub closes earlier but I think those hours of operation should be reflected on Google as well. I had just gotten my food and taken a bite and the girl comes up to me and says ‘sorry we just closed for dine-in’ all while there’s a couple occupying the tables towards the end and multiple people sitting and eating at the bar counter yet none of them were told to stop eating or informed they were closing.... only I was told that so I just packed up my food and left. In regards to the food, the fries were cold which I don’t understand because I had to wait for my food (and the fries were crunchy hard cuz they weren’t fresh/hot and as someone who has braces it just hurt to eat), sauce was scarce and the chicken tasted like frozen nuggets cut up into small pieces (the chicken most definitely did not taste like it was made from scratch/in-house). All in all, I’m a UTSC student so I’m not as familiar with the halal food options at UTM. I have had Quesada before at UTM and would definitely recommend that over this cuz at least the food is hot and fresh, costs around the same, and not devoid of sauce/flavour. I’m sure UTM has better service and tasting options around the campus, this just wasn’t as great as the reviews hyped it to be. *Got the Buffalo chicken fries today, my order was Order #19*

Mid food ngl, spicy fries are NOT spicy but the pricing is alright. My homie got a shawarma fries and that was sum different lol

One of the worst shawarma fries ever istg I went to get them changed cuz the chicken was black and Rick hard they changed it but the sec rime it was the same problem I wouldn't waste my money here

Extremely hit or miss if you order things other than wings or fries. I had a chicken vindaloo sandwich once but both the chicken and bun was burnt. Tasted like charcoal.. Had the duck club twice, first time the chicken was extremely dry (like eating a block of flour) and second time it was fine. Chicken wasn't really seasoned. Combo is worth it though.
Golden fries are good, not too greasy. Spicy fries aren't worth it, they're not spicy and taste like nothing.
I think they should narrow down some menu options and focus on improving quality over quantity

First picture is of A shawarma wrap…apparently. Second picture is the lamb burger which was smothered in hot sauce and feta cheese or blue cheese; can’t tell cuz the menu doesn’t even mention what goes into any items. The food was disappointing and did not taste good or appetizing. And two of these costed $25 WITHOUT any sides or drinks. Sad ripoff.

This was my first time eating at the Blind Duck on campus during this entire year. When I first came in, the decor was a bit dull but adequate. The atmosphere was really alive and vibrant though, really felt cozy here. My servers were extremely polite. I ordered the Beef Shawarma, have to say with tax this is pretty affordable and cheap food, perfect for university students. Wait time was great, not too long. I ate one of the several bits of Shawarma and it was pretty great. The beef was juicy and extremely warm, and the shawarma dipped in both the rich creamy humus and sweet tahini sauce was excellent. I'd say maybe increase either the servings or the size, but overall pretty good food. Hoping to be back soon!
Dietary restrictions: The great thing about the Blind Duck was that there were so many halal, vegan, vegetarian, and Gluten-Free options available for students with different dietary restrictions. The Blind Duck's considerate establishment met my dietary needs of providing halal food.

Great place on campus to get affordable food. The daily special is usually around $10-13 with a main, side, and drink. The staff is nice and friendly and is usually never slow. The food is fair from its price, the daily special is usually a burger which is descent and occasionally they have wings which are 12 for $12!The main issue is that the kitchen is small so the time from the line to getting your food can take a while when your strapped for time. Maybe the university of the pub could look into upgrades to speed up kitchen times or expand the building as a good chunk of the student body eat from here.Update: the atmosphere could also be improved, it's supposed to be a pub but feels alot like a cafeteria. Small changes could be made to give it a better atmosphere
