The flatbread had good flavor, but the texture was much tougher than expected and difficult to cut with the silverware provided. A softer crust would make it much easier to enjoy and share.

The Overnight Oats are vegan and not too sweet (they also have a chocolate one) and there is a Thai Salad with Tofu and a vegan Falafel Wrap. Ofc it's expensive
I waited for my food for over 30mins, and then the waitress walked over and asked me what did I order. When I told her I no longer want to wait for my food and ask for the bill for my juice, she was giving me attitude and gave me a cut eye. Definitely not how I want to start my morning at 6am in the morning.

Not too bad for an airport - a reasonably varied menu (even if peameal on a bun is an oddly straightforward label), good if not enthusiastic service, and comfortable seating (despite an odd layout that results in some people sitting behind the server station). As others have pointed out, there aren’t many options if you’re headed to the U.S. and trapped in the garage-like terminal, so this is your best bet if you don’t want a vending machine sandwich.
An additional note is that it will probably hold a lifetime title of the strangest place I’ve ever witnessed a marriage proposal. For the happy couple who was there in the late afternoon on Wednesday (9/24/25), I’m sure there’s a story there, and I do hope things work out for you.

Our first time. Ok this is not your normal airport eatery. This is a real restaurant that just happens to be located in airport. Seriously good food. We started with a Dark and Stormy and a draft Canadian. Both were excellent. The Dark and Stormy is spicy. Then we had the Nona Lynn's meatballs. They were outstanding - spicy and creamy. Seriously good. Then we had the hearth burger which was very good. I highly recommend this place. If you have a decent layover in Toronto this place is excellent. We will be back. The staff was also outstanding.

Great service and very good breakfast served fresh. Expect to pay airport pricing but overall a good place for a hearty breakfast.

The Hearth is probably the best restaurant option for the T1 International side. I have eaten here a couple of times and the food is always excellent.
Just remember, you will be paying airport prices.

If you just need something to eat, I guess it’s fine. My eggs were not cooked to my specifications & my bacon was dry & hard like chips. The coffee & rye bread were good though. I bought a meal for now & a sandwich for later. I hope I don’t regret that second meal.

Poor quality breakfast croissant sandwich, cheap, meagre contents, inappropriately prepared (Nb a croissant is not a panini) Might be better for smoothies?

Was in search of some good perogies and found them at the airport in Toronto! Very good! Great place to grab a quick bite in a pinch!

The worst dining experience — no service, lots of mistakes, terrible food, and the servers had a very bad attitude with no respect for customers. They kept chatting among themselves and provided no service at all.

Very mediocre food. I had fish and chips and the batter was thin and oily and didn't stick to the fish well.
