So disappointing. Tried to call for over an hour. No answer although they were open. Walked over to order sandwiches with salad x 2. Would have taken 5 minutes to make. Was rather bizarrely told that they required 24 hours for takeout. Ridiculous. I worked in hospitality. 24 for catering perhaps. Used to like going for lunch. After this rude lack of customer appreciation, will not be going again. Imagine turning down a $50 order and ticking off a regular customer. Even the staff seemed perplexed.

I probably would give this a 3.5 star rating, but I am rounding it up! Service and atmosphere are great! You can tell that they care about their decor selection and I really like that they decorate according to season. Gives this place some charm. The downside though is that the place is quite crammed. I felt so close to the next table that I couldn't even comfortably put on my coat without hitting another piece of furniture nor feel confident that my conversation wasn't being overheard by other closeby tables. The portion size of the food was also subpar compared to the prices you are paying. For example, a slice of cheesecake for $10 was very thinly cut. I don't mind the portion (less calories lol) but perhaps lower the price so people don't have too high expectations on what they are receiving.

Better late than never post. My mom and I went to The Tea Room for their Christmas high tea. It is such a cute spot. It was nice and cozy and festive. The food was incredibly delicious. It exceeded my expectations. The tomato bisque was the perfect portion size for the appetizer. The assortment of sandwiches and treats were also yummy. We even purchased the orange and cranberry scones to take home. We’ll definitely be returning!
I really like this place! In the past, the have staff recognized me from stopping by so often, even though I’m not a regular. I’m a bit of an awkward person, but that hospitality made me happy.
The Tea room has a cottage-core homey atmosphere that makes it a perfect date spot too, and I love trying new teas here.
For the food! The broccoli soup is rich and creamy, not watery like other places I’ve had. I can’t wait to bring my partner here to try it with me. The beef pie goes really well with the gravy, so be sure to put it on!

I am a celiac and wherever I go to eat, I mention this beforehand. The waiter offered me a gluten-free chocolate cake to eat with my tea, and I was happy to know there was such a nice gluten-free option. Right after finishing the piece, I started to feel aweful and had to go home... My Sunday was ruined, that was NOT a gluten-free cake! Openly offering food to people with allergies is not a joke; please be responsible, we deserve respect.

My wife is gluten intolerant, we ordered gluten free options which were not! My wife ended up sick a few minutes after we came back home. There is a clear lack of professionalism and empathy. I don't recommend this place at all
