I started going to this bakery after the second owners bought it, and I was hooked right away! Their Instagram was full of mouthwatering posts, and everything I tried lived up to the hype — fresh, delicious, and authentic every time. They never disappointed!

Unfortunately, since the new owners took over, everything has gone downhill. The bread is stale, the pastries no longer taste authentic, and favourites like natas and shrimp patties don’t taste the same. They don’t even post on instagram , and honestly, I don’t think I’ll be returning. Such a sad downfall for what used to be my favourite bakery!

Very bad experience stopped there to pick up something for breakfast they had a very poor selection hardly anything I saw a chocolate crescent in the display tray in the fresh bake area I took it the price was beyond outrageous I figured I’ll pay for it now and never come back again when I bit into it tasted old and stale very old I asked the girl if it was fresh she couldn’t understand what I was saying as she spoke very little English the owner was standing there watching and listening eventually she said it was a day old tasted like a week old neither the girl or the owner said a word as I threw it out in the garbage bin as they watched not a word never mind money back they didn’t even attempt to offer an apology I am definitely not going back to that stinky bakery again

I have been going to this bakery since I can remember. Right after Sunday mass, people lined up for amazing bread (of all kinds) and fresh cheeses..... to say that I am disappointed in what Trigo Bakery is today, would be an understatement. It was such a staple in the portuguese neighborhood. My father went there today to return (after I forced him to) 2 corn breads that he had bought to serve at a family gathering last night. The bread was crumbling to the touch and absolutely inedible, all I could taste was flour. He to went to take them back today and the new owner refused to give him his money back, but offered him another loaf of also, crumbling corn bread. As a man of pride, my father didnt even put up a stink, he refused the bread, wouldnt argue for a refund.... but yall lost a customer of 25+ years.

I had a fantastic sandwich made by the barista KC. Fresh bread very tasty with the sauce and condiments. There maybe someone new in the kitchen cause the rice pudding is creamy smooth. And the cinnamon rolls melt in your mouth. Sweet place. Cozy with family vibe. Ill stop in often

Ever since the ownership changed, everything has gone downhill — and unfortunately, not just a little. The baked goods don’t taste the same, the service is cold and indifferent, and the warm atmosphere is completely gone.

But the worst part is how they treat people. I’ve heard employees aren’t getting paid, and the working conditions are awful. If they don’t respect their own staff, what can customers expect?

Many people I know have already stopped going, and I don’t blame them. The place feels empty now — just a shadow of what it used to be.

Sad to say, but I can’t recommend this place anymore. And if things continue this way, I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down soon.

Honestly, Trigo Bakery is my go-to spot when it comes to fresh flavors, high quality, and kind service. Their bread is always fresh — the aroma alone is enough — and the cakes? Simply incredible. Their flavors are balanced, refined, and you can really taste the care in every bite.
Whenever there’s a special occasion, I don’t even consider going anywhere else. Trigo has become part of my celebration rituals because I know I’ll always find something that exceeds my expectations.
As for the owner, they’re truly one of the kindest and most respectful people I’ve ever interacted with. Welcoming, genuine, and always greeting people with warmth. You don’t feel like just a customer — you feel like a valued guest.
From my perspective, Trigo is hands down the best and most delicious place to get cakes and baked goods. Anything said to the contrary is simply not true.
