Udupi Madras Cafe Reviews
Please DO NOT visit. We visited in July, ordered few items as take away, but when we reached home (far away-Ancaster), the parcel had 50 percent items missing, not packed ever. No system in place to take care of tgat. Neverthless, after much perduasion(pl note no empathy from restaurant) they agreed to compensate.

Poor service ! We went with a group and got the lunch in installments
The food is amazing but the staff is arrogant. They need to train the staff to give good customer service and be friendly (specially Masum Patel). Also, every time you go there you have to wait and there’s no one to attend even after ringing the bell. Poor customer service and management but good food.

Udupi Madras Cafe offers a variety of dishes that customers enjoy, with the Rawat Masala Rosa being a standout. The restaurant is noted for its exceptional décor and outstanding food, especially the authentic Mysore masala dosa. While most of the cuisine is pure vegetarian, some customers have mentioned their experiences with service varying. During a busy weekend brunch buffet, the service was appreciated, with staff accommodating guests during a transition from breakfast to lunch. The variety of food available is more than enough, including Idli, dosa, rasam, puri, chole, and desserts, although some found the Vada's texture less appealing. The service staff is described as courteous and helpful, contributing to a generally good experience, though the atmosphere could use some improvement. Accessibility may be challenging due to stairs, which could affect senior adults and those with mobility issues. Many customers praise the freshness, tastiness, and authenticity of the South Indian snacks and food, such as dosas, idlis, medu vadas, and uthappas, which are all freshly made. The Madras filter coffee is also highly appreciated as refreshing. The prices are on the higher side, but the food quality remains consistent since the restaurant opened. The casual atmosphere and friendly service add to the overall experience. Additionally, the restaurant offers 90 minutes of free underground parking for customers, making it convenient for visitors. Overall, the food is well-liked, and the variety of options ensures a satisfying meal, though attention to service and ambiance could further enhance the dining experience.
