This is our go-to place for South Indian snacks and food. The food is fresh, tasty and authentic!

Dosas, idlis, medu vadas, uthappas are all very tasty and freshly made. The service is friendly and functional. The decor is utilitarian.

I should not forget to mention the madras filter coffee - refreshing!

The prices are on the higher side though.

Great South Indian food. Service was excellent. Been visiting this place since 2017 and the food till date offers consistent quality. Used to enjoy their Thalis but with reduced appetite just settled for a dosa today.

Have not improved any bit over several years. Went from bad to worst. Latest experience is ordering take away online. I had to explain what I need to one person, after a while transferred to another person and she says first person don’t know and asked again what I need.
Suggestion: please have quality people who can understand English and can take orders. With so many options being opened in GTA, pls visit their ambience, food and service quality etc.

Udupi Madras Cafe at Enfield Place is a decent spot to try South Indian vegetarian dishes. We visited around 11 AM as a group of 8. Five of us went for the buffet, while the others ordered Paper Masala Dosas and Benne Masala Dosa. We also tried the Royal Faluda, Mango Lassis, and Masala Tea.

The buffet was okay overall — but the Medhu Vada and Masala Tea were quite mediocre. The dosas were decent, and the drinks like the Mango Lassi and Faluda were enjoyable. Service was fine and the atmosphere casual.

Bonus: they offer 90 minutes of free underground parking for restaurant customers — just park and register at the desk inside.

Overall, a decent place if you’re craving South Indian food in Mississauga.

I did not realize I hadn’t reviewed this place, I do not get the low rating at all since my experience always has been top notch. The food is amazing, I’ll only speak about vegetarian as that’s what I’ve had. We’ve tried a variety of items over the last 5-6 visits we’ve had and goli bhaji and mirch pakoda are the favourite.

The service is little slow and inattentive but the food makes up for it. The staff is always courteous and kind when you do talk to them. The Dosa and sambar have always been so perfect that this has become a regular place. I’ll try to add some pictures when i visit again.

We have been to this place many times in the last 8-10 years.
South Karnataka specialties like Golibaje and Mangalore Bun are very well done.

First off, parking is a hassle since you need to get it validated by the restaurant. But that was the least of the issues. The service was downright poor – staff were unfriendly and made it very clear they didn’t want us there.

The food was even worse:
• Bhajji was oily and tasted like it had been refried.
• Gadbad was a joke – just three scoops of plain ice cream, no nuts, no fruits, nothing.
• Coffee was the only decent item.
• Pani Puri was pathetic – five sad-looking puris with barely any potato inside, served with only tamarind chutney. Not sure how they even call this pani puri.

For a place carrying the Udupi name, this was a huge letdown. Definitely not worth the time or money.

If there was a way to give this restaurant negative start that what they truly are.
We visited this place for dinner on Friday evening (Aug 29th) and had a horrible experience. Gudbad was a Joke of an icecream can be Stale and Stinky here you can get a hinge of that too, Thali really it was so cold and tastes stale again. Nothing was fresh ...

hats of to you guys for serving the worst food in the entire GTA..no one can beat you with this

Thought to add my honest reviews for those who check reviews for
Breakfast Buffet: $17. + tax
What I don’t like
1. You wil get same liquid Bhaji for Puri as well as for Dosa
2. Dosa they serve at table but you have to wait at least 10-15 mins if they forget your table to serve Dosa- too oily
3. Being South Indian food fan iff you expect Tomoto red chatuny, sambhar flavourful of Kadi patta and Onion then this is wrong place. (I am making better sambhar at home I think)
4. Idli was like made of rice only without added Urad dal.

What I do like:
1. Medu vada

Summary. Breakfast buffet is not worth it.

This is your regular place you would hop for south indian. Like you would go to Tim's for your coffee. Food is simple and the staff is hard working. Overall a family restaurant feeling. Dosas are 4/5, puri bhaji 4/5, pav bhaji 3/5, gadbad which is very heavy so go easy on your meal is 5/5, dollar ghee idli is 5/5. Overall all their food is simple and easy on the stomach
