They hit me with a mountain of Costco frozen fries—quantity over quality, obviously. I ordered the “popular” chicken tenders, but the oil tasted ancient, like it had seen more battles than a medieval knight. Only the drinks saved me from total despair. Dessert? Nah, I could already smell the freezer. The place looks nice, but they clearly forgot to hire someone who actually knows how to cook.

Me and my mom came here to eat a quick little you know lunch after a day of shopping on a Saturday and I was like so pleasantly surprised!

We both ordered salads! And the salads were absolutely amazing. I had mine with chicken. Mine was the candied fig with an extra side of chicken.: fairy tasty meal like extremely tasty loved every bit of it and my mom just had a regular garden salad with shrimp added and hers as well. Very nice. She loved every minute of it.

I think it was even more memorable. Is that while we were there there was a sweet 16 birthday party and although the place was very well decked out and full, we still were treated with great service. And the food tasted amazing and did not take long to come out.

Separate sidenote our server smelt absolutely amazing. He let me know he was wearing Prada black which was so appropriate for the venue.

All in all, it was a great experience and I absolutely adored it! I’ll be returning soon!

Went for a mother-daughter lunch yesterday. Just awful. Hostess was rude. Waitress was rude. Bathroom was absolutely freezing and none too clean. Steak was flavourful but tough as shoe leather. Fries were cold. Cappuccino was awful - burnt coffee taste. Salad was good. Been going there at least once a month since they opened. Don’t think we will be back.

Excellent food, great service and electric atmosphere. Have the killer chicken sandwich was very tasty. Mckenzie was our server she was exceptional taking care of our table.

It was my first time here we went as a group I was the first one to arrive and was sitting there for 15 minutes but no one asked me for a glass of water! And they weren’t even busy then… it’s totally not done! They were just standing there but not serving.. what’s the point?
Then after everyone arrived and we all wanted refill of our drinks there was nobody to attend to us it was very frustrating!
The service sucks as others have reviewed the food is ok and the atmosphere is ok too
I would not go here again

Looking for a place where the service is fantastic, friendly and food is delicious.. Well this is the place. I sat at the bar and got just that. Michell was fantastic! I will be back as it was a great place to unwind and enjoy great service and food! Something you don't get everywhere these days.

Go to place if you want to grab a quick bite or have your team lunch there. Love the table set up in the back which is great for a work lunch or dinner. Service is always great.

I’ve been here three times. This place is a real step up from your typical casual chain. The kitchen here has skill. Food is generally excellent. My least favourite has been the burger and it was still good. The social hours lettuce wrap is a winner. The chicken fingers are excellent. Spicy buffalo tacos are great. The chicken Alfredo was solid. The beer selection is good. Comfy, warm and every single person has been friendly. Also happily accommodated many food intolerances. Really great place.

Union Social Eatery used to be one of my all-time favourite restaurants — I especially loved their Epic Cheeseburger. It was always perfectly cooked and packed with flavour.

However, during a recent visit with my daughter for lunch, my experience was nothing like before. My burger arrived with a frozen bun. I immediately called someone over and reported the issue. They took my plate away, but within a minute, it came back — clearly the same plate, just slightly warmed up.

That was totally not what I expected from a place I once loved and recommended to so many people. It’s really disappointing to see the quality and attention to detail decline like this. I truly hope they can bring back the standards that made Union Social Eatery such a great spot in the first place.

Went here with a large group of about 25 colleagues, and we chose this restaurant because of the good reviews online. However, our experience was completely different and honestly very disappointing — especially considering the quality of food with high prices.

I ordered the Havana Chicken Bowl, and it was a letdown. The chicken was hard to chew and burnt on top, served with mango salsa, white rice, and a drizzle of white sauce, but the entire dish was extremely dry and lacked flavor. Paying $30 for something that tasted unfinished and poorly prepared was frustrating.

Others at our table had similar issues. One colleague ordered a chicken sandwich, and the chicken piece was so tiny it barely covered the bun. The fries weren’t crispy and tasted like they had been sitting out. Another colleague ordered the almond-crusted chicken, one of their “popular” dishes, but it felt more like bread than chicken — very thin, bland, and absolutely not worth the price.

They really need to improve the quality of the food for the price they charge. At this price point, you can easily get dishes elsewhere that are more flavorful, better portioned, and worth the money.

We went based on the good reviews, but our experience didn’t match them at all. We won’t be visiting again.
