Very disappointing experience. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:00 PM, even though they don’t close until 8:30 PM. Despite this, the receptionist told us we could only order takeout and were not allowed to dine in. This was frustrating because we had called ahead to confirm and drove all the way to Oakville just to eat there. Being turned away like that, without a valid reason, was really upsetting. Not the kind of service we expected at all. Not recommended this restaurant at all.

The owners of Xawaash Mississauga are incredibly friendly — especially Engineer Abdullah, whose warm hospitality truly stands out. This was my second visit, this time with my family, and once again, the experience was exceptional.
Xawaash offers a variety of traditional Somali dishes, and everything we tried was packed with authentic, homemade flavor. We ordered the chicken Mandi, the Beef Spaghetti, and the signature Xawaash Chicken — each dish was absolutely delicious and full of rich, satisfying taste. The food is undeniably tasty and brings people together — food as unity.
At the end of our meal, we were kindly offered a complimentary coffee and date cake by the owner — it was soft, flavorful, and the perfect sweet finish to a wonderful evening.
The restaurant is impeccably clean, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable.
Xawaash Mississauga truly deserves more than five stars. We’ll definitely be coming back — again and again!

The chicken mandi was out of this world—juicy, tender, and beautifully aromatic. The lamb was equally amazing, melting in our mouths with every bite.
