Really good food, especially the bbq seitan- super flavourful. We also had the king oyster mushroom, curry vermicelli, and plum seitan. The last one could use more seasoning as it was bland. I think it needed more time to marinate in the sauce. Waitresses were super friendly and professional. Thank you for your services!

Went here after looking for local vegan restaurants. Food was very good and lots of vegan options. Will definitely return to try some other dishes.

Clean and comfortable vegetarian restaurant serving tasty food, also with variety of choices. The shark fin soup and Bbq buns were particularly good. Bak kut Tay was not authentic of ingredients or meat.
Service was a little lacking because they sit 5 persons on a table for 4. When the food are all out, there is no more room and we had to pack a dish away.
Prices a little higher than others.

Highly disappointed in this food. Definitely not going back to this establishment. We ordered a veggie bacon fried rice and was given a veggie bacon wrap which tasted awful in my opinion. The Kung Po Soy-Fritters weren't good and the Fried noodles were very bland. The spring rolls tasted as if they fried in stale oil. The food was definitely overpriced given the fact that it all lacked flavor. Definitely not ordering food from here again. We drove 30 mins with high expectations that were unfortunately not met.

Consistently one of the greatest places in Mississauga for vegetarian food! The restaurant is so welcoming and service is always great.

We had a frustrating and upsetting experience here. We brought a birthday cake for a birthday celebration and asked for the cake to be stored in the fridge. The first server that greeted us went to ask the chef if they allow that, and came out to tell us there is no room in the fridge. The server then suggested to place the cake under the vent where AC was blowing out, which we did. When we placed our order, another server told us they were busy with takeout orders so we, the dine-in guest orders would take approximately 40 minutes, including our table there were about 3-4 tables dining in at the time. The food came out in about 30 minutes which was slightly shorter than expected. When we were finished with our meal, we asked the first server for forks and a knife to cut the cake, and the second server came to our table with one knife and one fork. During that time, we clarified that we needed forks for everyone, to eat the cake. Only at that time we were told that we were not allowed to bring/eat outside food. I told this server no one told us before when we entered and asked about the birthday cake, and she then apologized for the inconvenience and it was their policy. There were only two other tables in the restaurant at this time, as it was half an hour till closing. I told her that it was very disappointing and upsetting as it's a birthday, then this server told me if you really want to eat the cake, then it's $5 per person. I spoke to the server again and she said we should have called in to ask. I told her there was no sign on the door about this policy and the first server that spoke to me never told me either. So we ended up leaving the birthday cake out in the open for hours, only to know that we cannot eat it. This was a terrible experience. One or no stars if I could for this experience.

Excellent vegetarian Chinese food! Unlike many Asian restaurants that use excessive soy sauce, Zen Garden was a refreshing exception. The dishes were delicious, with generous portions and a great variety to choose from

Dining at Zen Garden Restaurant was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The food stood out immediately—each dish was prepared with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that you could really taste. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the presentation was so elegant that it felt like each plate was crafted to please both the eye and the palate. Every bite was balanced and flavorful, showing real attention to detail in the kitchen.

The atmosphere added so much to the experience. The space is calm and beautifully designed, creating a relaxed environment that makes you want to linger and enjoy the moment. It has just the right mix of sophistication and comfort, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions.

The staff deserve special mention as well. From the warm welcome at the door to the attentive service throughout the meal, they made sure everything was smooth and enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer helpful suggestions, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a great experience.

Overall, Zen Garden Restaurant delivered on every level—delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding service. I left feeling not only satisfied but eager to return. It’s the kind of place you remember and recommend to friends without hesitation.

Zen Gardens' delicious Chinese vegetarian food (especially mock meats) are always a great treat. Their assorted seitan platter brings back childhood memories - I particularly enjoyed the mock cha siu in the platter. Their enoki mushroom balls are always great (I eat them at every visit), and the presentation of the crispy seitan with plum sauce looks just like roasted duck! Very impressive. The lo han chai chow mein was fully of various veggies, although we personally preferred crispier noodles.

We visited at the end of August and they had vegan mooncakes available for very reasonable prices, which was a treat. We had a five nut mooncake (baked just the day before which is very fresh for mooncakes) for dessert and it was fragrant and outstanding. Try their mooncakes! Service was wonderful too. Kind and helpful staff that took good care of us. Will be back!

Incredible vegetarian menu. Casual atmosphere. Service is okay, but you have to be assertive if you want anything beyond the first dish.
