Inside the unassuming exterior is a charming dining room. Service was quick and efficient and the food was wonderful.

This was my first experience at the Black Birch and won't be my last. I cannot wait to go back. Not only was the food excellent, our server Siobhan went above and beyond to make our experience a wonderful one. She was warm, inviting, knowledgeable and most importantly so fun! Keep up the great work. Hats off to the Chef. You sir know what you are doing and it shows in the care you take with every dish.

Just discovered this amazing gem of a restaurant tucked away in the middle of nowhere! Completely unpretentious but classy - and rich with character. The food is outstanding and excellent prices. Do yourself a favour and check it out. Highly recommend!

A real gem of a restaurant! Open 364 days a year with a menu that updates daily. It's fancy dining in the country that won't break your wallet. Love watching the birds and other wildlife thru the windows as I eat.

Good place been before many years ago. Would be nice if the tenderloin had a smaller option. We were a large table so I rated service as a 4 but only the main course took awhile. Nice ambiance.

I stopped in today on a leisurely drive through the Hockley valley on my way to Guelph. Sun was out and it was a beautiful day. I had stopped by the Black Birch before but it was packed or closed. Today it wasn’t. I thoroughly enjoyed my Potato Soup, a Spinach Salad with Prosciutto and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Karen the hostess was wonderful. Stop in sometime when you are in the neighbourhood, you will not be disappointed. Stop, don’t rush to where you are going. Life is short and this was worth the time. I will definitely be back.

I attempted to book a reservation for 16 people for my mother's 75th birthday but was told that were were not welcome to bring our own birthday cake, a family recipe special for the occasion, because the restaurant would lose money. If the small profit margin made through the purchase of a cake is more important than the client's 75th birthday experience, I will never do business with this establishment.

If you have not visited this quaint little restaurant in Hockley Valley, put it on your bucket list. Chef Mark and his team create a wonderful dining experience, and you will be putting your next visit in your calendar before you leave. Excellent food and service.

We went here for our anniversary dinner in October and our meals were certainly above our expectations. One steak and one duck meal. Both dishes were beautifully cooked and delicious. The only comment would be that we would have liked to have seen a few more vegetables on the plate. Very reasonably priced. A small, quaint restaurant, hidden in Hockley Valley. Well worth the 45 min drive for us! Will be back again!
