Came in here yesterday and I gotta say it’s downgraded a lot. This place is a mess dirty tables, chairs scattered around and the employees and management seem like they don’t know what’s going on or what there doing half the time. At this point even though the wait is a bit longer sometimes just going down to the local Tim’s is more worth it. The management needs to step up there game and train the employees better or something and stop slacking off or this place is gonna be shut down and turned into another mount forest pizza place😂

as someone who worked at the mount forest coffee culture for a couple years I’m honestly genuinely disappointed when I visit there now with the new staff and management. I was there today and it was baffling how unorganized and honestly untrained the staff were. My single breakfast sandwich took ten minutes, no exaggeration, to make when there was one other customer there. They didn’t have soy milk or any milk alternative brought up from the back for the morning, half of their coffee canisters were empty, and the bottle of avocado was completely 100% brown, when i asked about the colour, the staff grabbed a fresh green one from the fridge, before putting it back and keeping the brown one up front to use. There seems to be no care or passion from any employees and it’s just such a shame to see a staple gem in town turn into a guaranteed disappointment when visiting.

Been coming here for over 16 years while at our nearby trailer. It's a real shame what it has become. Was 5/5 in all aspects. less than 1/5 now. 90% of the time you are welcomed with Rude staff that so cleary hate there job. The local tims is absolutely packed and this place has 1-2 people most times I drop in. Come on owners look in the mirror and do better. I guess if don't do better soon we may see the doors close for good..... I hope not. Great, great memories here with my kids

Used to really enjoy this location when I would come to town. This time there was a very noticeable change in ownership and standards. Empty cafe with two people working and there's dirty dishes everywhere, overflowing counter and many tables not cleared, garbage overflowing. When asked to make my three shot americano it's made in under two minutes (not a good sign for brewing shots) and tastes like brown watered down coffee. I asked if three shots were put in and was given attitude. Even adding in another shot didn't help, can't help but suspect I was given regular coffee and added an espresso shot to it. We left coffee and plates on table...walked by store a hour later and table was still not cleared.
Too bad, used to be a great spot.

Visit on Saturday June 28, 2025 for coffee and sandwiches. Mobility impaired persons should be aware of a few low steps at the front entrance. Great location on the main street. Lovely dining area with some tables overlooking the street. Coffee is good and the sandwiches / wraps were exceptional. Staff were friendly and professional.

Stopped in today for lunch. I ordered a Breakfast Bagel. Everything bagel with sausage. When I got back to the car it was a toasted Asiago bagel, no sausage, no egg? Went back in to get it correctly made. Back to the car, same bagel with sausage only, no egg? Went back in to get my money back, enough is enough. The young lady had the gall to argue with me that I got the order wrong. Since the change in ownership we stop less and less.....maybe not at all now.

My wife and I are retired and will drive to different coffee shops several times a week as an outing. The Mount Forest location was one of them. Yesterday, we stopped in and were surprised at how empty the store was. Quite unusual for that location as it was lunchtime and would alwaus be busy. We then noticed there were new people working the counter, and the showcase was practically empty. The carrot caramel cheescake, the main reason for our visit, was not available. We left the store, shaking our heads, as yet another food locale has changed, not for the better. What is going on in Ontario?
