I just had my third encounter with this establishment. I think my last one too. The first was after it had just recently had opened. The service was great, but I was honestly disappointed with the meal. I still told people to visit. Last year I ordered take out. Not only was the wait ridiculous, but they had sent our meals to another house, and that I had to return, and wait some more. No discounts or recorded meals were offered or given. It bothered me all the more when 8 thought about it. Just tonight, a friend and I went to dine in. They waitress was rude, with incredulous looks cast our way (as we didn't order drinks, and only wanted coffee), and although I asked for the escargot to be served with the meal, it was served first. My main dish had cooled/cold pasta on the plate. My partners dish was better, but I was really disappointed. I won't go again.

Second time visit within a year.Had fish and chips again as the take out order. Service was ok albeit there were a few customers that came in at the same time which seemed to impact things.Wait time was reasonable.Quality of food this time wasn’t as good as the fish was in fact slightly undercooked (soggy vs crispy previously).Fries were ok, had asked for coleslaw but didn’t get it.Waitress was focused on multitasking as I was given the machine to pay the order but no thanks given for the order or come again as previous visit.A bit of a let down this time on all fronts. It has good reviews, as noted first visit was much better.

Friends , family , associates and myself have been going here off in for quite a few years and I’ve tried almost everything in the menu except the deserts (which look amazing ). We’ve never really been disappointed ever . The salads and bruchetta are amazing and the seafood specials as well. My favourite is their handmade high quality schnitzel with the jager or sword and musket sauce and their wings. I’ve never found any of the servers to be rude ever (busy sure) rude no way and the owner is always checking as well . You can’t beat their burger and fries special I know many people who stop for a drink and take it home for dinner or even the next day. They have accommodated our large groups well, their patio is great , lots of parking , portions are large , fresh ingredients. I suggest going early for their specials and early for their allYou can eat schnitzel and Caesar so you can eat more ;). The table beside us had an amazing looking Alfredo presented beautifully and my sons ribs were off the charts great. Ambience is simple, pleasant and there’s always someone to talk to, always a great experience and value .

I have patronized this establishment 4 times now and I am leaving this good review SOLELY because of the excellent service we have received for two out of our four visits. It is clear to us now that there are only 2 waitresses who work here. One is named Susan, the other is named Jackie. Susan’s service is EXCELLENT. Jackie’s service is TERRIBLE.It is also clear to us that the negative reviews are for Jackie’s service and the positive reviews are for Susan’s service and that the negative/angry replies are written by Jackie, who we found out is the owner of the restaurant. The food is consistently good, not excellent, just decent. Good sized portions, nothing to knock your socks off, but it’s filling pub fare. The pub itself is pretty and we found it to be clean(ish)… so it SHOULD be a positive experience to eat here, however the chance of a good experience here depends upon which waitress serves you.Susan’s service is that of a fine dining restaurant. Super efficient, friendly and attentive without hovering. Extremely warm personality and very knowledgeable regarding drinks and the menu. She really goes above & beyond to make the meal top notch.Jackie, however, is rude to the point that we began to wonder if she was under the influence of something while at work. She was surly and slurring and acted annoyed that we were even there. We heard her berating the kitchen staff and witnessed her doing some things in regards to personal hygiene that turned our stomachs.Safe to say, that we will never be back.5 stars for Susan4 stars for the food-1 star for Jackie (who seriously needs to rethink her choice to work in the service industry).Avoid at all costs & go to the Tipsy Fox down the road instead.

Fun restaurant, great friendly service. Food was excellent. I had the Jäger Schnitzel with spätzle and red cabbage followed by an apple strudel and ice cream. My friend had All You Can Eat caesar and schnitzel. Very filling. I highly recommend this establishment.

Skeptical after reading the reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to visit sword and musket. The place is fairly clean and has small town rustic vibe, and we were served by a lovely waitress. We got the nachos and the escargot, which were fine, I wouldn't get the nachos again, but the escargot was decent. We got the meat platter and some wings as the main. The platter was fine, however found the streak to be tough and dry (definitely was frozen before). The wings were huge, and saucy. Between the atmosphere and the food we did enjoyed our time, and may visit again if in the area.

I did read some reviews on this place but not every review is pleasant and even some bad reviews where bad. But with all that I would need to tire the restaurant myself so I Came in with 5 other friends and the waitress was all alone she serviced us with drinks took our food order and went into the kitchen to start cooking and when other customers came in she served them as well. The food was fantastic for all 6 of us. All made fresh from scratch and we will definitely be back.My hats and to her for keeping everything working like clock work. Her cooking skills where noted by myself and others in my party. This is a must place to eat and highly recommended by myself as as the other 5 people in my party.

We made a reservation which wasn't recorded, luckly we got a table. The waitstaff stated that they had another reservation. 9 place settings I counted. The waitstaff took our order. We ordered Jager Schnitzel. The Spaetzle was rubbery. I heard the microwave being used. Another waitstaff was called in to handle the reservation of 9. When the 9 people arrived they were told about the specials. We were not told about the specials and the 9 people were treated like royalty making us feel like second class patrons. We will NOT return and DO NOT recommend this restaurant.
