In my search for a caterer for our wedding at our home, my cousin recommended TASTE saying his food is delicious and he is a great guy! My husband and I met with Dave and liked him instantly. He immediately understood what we wanted and customized our menu to suit our needs. He was professional, friendly and obviously talented. We had every confidence in him and he did not disappoint. He and his staff took care of everything. All of our guests raved about the food. The bacon wrapped dates, roast beef sliders and baked Brie were mouth watering! TASTE helped to make our day unforgettable. I highly recommend Dave and his staff!

This is the best spot to eat in the Tottenham area! Food is absolutely amazing, they have amazing specials all the time (which do run out but that only makes me want them more) i had a amazing salad , my husband had prime rib, both were amazing and cooked perfectly! The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff and owner are so friendly and amazing, would highly recommend for any functions or a date night! Worth the price !

Amazing place!! I'm actually embarrassed that it's taken us so long to try them out as they are now our new favourite restaurant! There wasn't a bad meal to be had. The restaurant itself is beautiful with so much character and eclectic ambiance to give plenty to look at and converse about. Very romantic and full of charm. We were greeted by the owner, Carl, and he couldn't have been more inviting. Very pleasant and engaging. We had a beautiful table in the private room which was perfect as we were celebrating a milestone birthday for our son. Amongst us all, we sampled the ceasar salad, escargot, brie plate and mussels as appetizers. The mains consisted of the salmon, Philly steak burger, and shrimp/lobster/scallop linguine. Each and every bite was just delectable! And the portions are plenty - we actually had to take some home as we couldn't eat it all. We would have loved to try some of the mouth-watering desserts but we were sadly too full! Something to look forward to next time...which we hope to be soon!!

I had been to A Taste of Freedom many times before the 2020 covid shutdowns but I’m way overdue from giving them an amazing review which they so deserve. It’s casual dining but in a classy way On my last visit a few weeks ago, I started with the best Long Island Ice tea I’ve had in a long time ..if you have never had one you must try them, so refreshing especially during hot weather) made by bartender and serve extraordinaire Monika who was a pleasure …her happy disposition and personality made me feel comfortable as a solo diner. My starter was a Caesar salad and my main was the Massaman shrimp curry which was just between spicy and not perfect for people who aren’t spice lovers and joined with a Lindesman’s Chardonnay. I didn’t know about Massaman curry until this visit and found out it’s a mild Thai curry with an amazing taste. There is loads of free parking here and they have a super fun backyard area you can sit in as well. I like the cool so I sat inside and got there before the rush started. If you haven’t tried them out you must. I have tried many items on their current and past menus and my stomach feels great with every meal.

There were 10 of us and it was a last minute decision after all attending a function in Tottenham. We knew they closed at 9pm but arrived at 8:30 and were assured arriving so late for desserts and coffees so we could visit wasn't an issue.......they quickly seated us....and almost immediately began serving multiple delicious appetizers and coffee/tea/drinks. Next came desserts....so delicious....... It was the perfect ending to a great night. Ended up staying until 9:30 - a half hour after closing......So grateful they didn't turn us away. Will definately be back . Thank you!!!

I came with a group of friends from Toronto after an event in the area. My friend made a reservation as it was very close to our event. We had not been there before - but we will be back next time we are in the hood. We got our own private room upstairs with a private bathroom. The staff was attentive and accommodating to those who were vegetarian and those looking for gluten free options. A great afternoon before the long drive back to Toronto. Thank you all!
My wife and I were treated to lunch at the Taste Of Freedom, I had one of the specials which was sliced Prime Rib on an open faced sandwich, and turned out to be the best open faced sandwich I have ever tasted. My wife had the chicken salad and our friends had the ribs, and curried shrimp. To indicate how good this food was, every plate was left empty! A special thanks to our waiter Andrew who was very attentive and friendly. We had never eaten there before but you can be assured that we will be back on our next visit to Tottenham. Well done Taste of Freedom.

Service is lacking at best. Super casual, doesn't know how to open a bottle of wine properly or how to do wine service. Tried to take our partially eaten salad from the table without asking if we had finished. Didn't offer clean cutlery in-between courses so mains came out and half the table had no cutlery. Didn't refill our wine glasses. Asked for an espresso which was at least 3ozs so very bitter. Nothing about this restaurant is fine! The food = The caeser salad was not fresh. The lettuce was limp and looked old. Penne a la vodka dish was disgusting. Just tasted like tomato sauce with little seasoning and the mushrooms were not sauteed just rubbery. I ate half a dozen bites and couldn't stomach any more. My husband's steak was tough as leather and barely edible. This was a birthday meal with family and boy what an expensive disappointment. Do not recommend.

My background is in Hotel Management specifically in Food & Beverage so I know what I am talking about. This was our third visit to this restaurant. the previous 2 visits were outstanding which is why we rebooked for our wedding anniversary dinner. What a disappointment. We selected Mussels as an appetizer only to be told when placing our order that "they had not come in yet and were not available". This could have been communicated when we were being advised of the daily specials. Fried Calamari were edible but they had obviously been fried in dirty oil as the batter was dark to the point of being burnt. With the entrée the broccoli had been blanched but not cooked and was rock hard to try to cut and eat. The Sweetcorn was discolored and some of the kernels were brown. WE were constantly harrased by flies that were landing on our food and I found 1 fly belly up on our table. While we were there the owner/manager moved a table for 2 to a table of 4 to make a 6 and in the process dropped a roll up napkin and cutlery on the floor. He picked it up and placed it back on the place setting on the table. Very disappointing and not one word of concern from the management when we left. We will not return.

Had the pleasure to visit this restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised Fantastic atmosphere and great patio/backyard Great service as well prompt and not pushy Good was very good the only complaint I would have is that the salad had very little dressing but some like it that way and I wasn’t complaining especially at this time I just enjoyed Would I return .. heck ya what a great place Had the steak and shrimp Tried the calamari and was outstanding
