b e aware this place is very small, looks like a dive diner that has been painted and a few updated tables and chairs were added. not very inviting or pleasing atmosphere, a huge disappointment. the reviews said nothing about the lack of ambiance, when i expressed my disappointment the owner accused me of being abusive and threw us out of his restaurant. He never once considered that some constructive feedback may help him improve his business. I just assumed the if he was going to charge an average of $26 per entrée he would at least offer good service and ambience. I am so frustrated with these restaurants who charge exorbinent prices with out giving any quality, ambience, or service, or consideration to the customers

We went with another couple to see what all the hype was about. We were not disappointed. The steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked. The price is fair and competitive for what you get. They don’t skimp on portion size. Highly recommend this restaurant

Upon entering was greeted by a very friendly waitress. Were asked for drinks right away and were served nice and quickly. Ordered and didn’t have to wait too long for our meals. New York strip loin with seafood was ordered. Steak was great, seafood mix was not what we expected.. Our meals were good but think a few minor tweaks would make this restaurant far more enjoyable and a treat to come to The tables are bare with no flowers or candles, just utilitarian. There were wait staff jackets flung on a table, not a good impression. The wait staff were dressed in fitness apparel (leggings and tshirts). Not what I would expect from a $40+ entree restaurant. When I go out on a Saturday night to a steak house, I am going to be treated. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired but would not take much to improve it. Unfortunately, we will not be going back, was disappointed overall.

The staff and chef were most pleasant and accommodating. The food was superb! The steaks were seasoned and grilled to perfection. One member had the Shrimp dish which she raved about. This restaurant is a little gem in the midst of Alliston, Ontario. It is cozy and unpretentious.

What a night! Steaks were cooked to perfection, seafood platter was delicious, appies were amazing, red wine was excellent, and all this with great service and a trip to our table by the owner. Could not ask for a better night out to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. We will definitely be back! What a gem.

I took my wife here by surprise on valentines day for dinner. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The server was warm and friendly. She spent time at explaining the menu and what not to us. My wife has a Chefs pick NY steak and i had the rough cut cowboy. Ive been to a few great steak houses before such as wolfgang pucks in las vegas and let me tell you. My 22 OZ cowbow was cooked perfectly medium rare, every single bite was mouth watering. The mushroom and onion toppings were cooked perfectly and completed the steak. The potatoes and garden veggies were cooked perfectly also. My wifes dinner was the same where her shrimp, scallop and lobster topping for her NY steak was perfect. We also took a cheesecake to go which was awesome. We were very pleased with out meals and overall will go back for another special occasion.

We called on the busiest weekend (Valentine’s) and they were able to accommodate our dad’s 80 birthday dinner…took us in early.. Food was very good, service just right…coming back for my moms birthday!
The meat is as good as you can get anywhere, perfectly cooked. Ashley's service is personal and attentive, in keeping with the small space (capacity ~ about 30 seats). Chef Clyde engages with the customers in what feels like a family atmosphere. Unlike steakhouses full of glass, steel and attitude, Table for 2 is a warm, cozy and happy place. And the steaks are out of this world.

First time visiting Table for 2 and we weren't disappointed. The guys ordered steak and they were cooked to perfection and very tasty. My wife had the steak salad and she thoroughly enjoyed it... lotsa steak in it. Our other friend had a delicious salmon dinner. Complimented the chef then and there. Would recommend.

I have been spoiled with very good food over the years and this place is a gem. I went for an early dinner with my wife and enjoyed an excellent sirloin steak. Buying a steak from an expensive butcher can’t compete with what is served at this restaurant. It was absolutely delicious. Given that it was not a terribly busy night we had he pleasure of chatting with the owner... a sincere and hard working person who is highly skilled in the kitchen. These are the types of businesses and people that Alliston folks need to support.
