Great food in a warm, friendly atmosphere. I think my favorite of the many fine breakfasts, lunches, and dinners has to be the fish and chips.
Dietary restrictions: Just tell the waitstaff and they'll accommodate.
Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome and many suitable dishes available.

I had a great experience at the Post and Beam. For some reason it took about 10 minutes extra for my food to come out while the rest of the table ate but aside from that minor snafu everything was really great. The patio was gorgeous and the food top notch.

We love feeling like we've traveled back to a simpler time. This place is all about the history and fishing in the Rideau Lakes with decor and ambiance that hasn't changed in 75 years. This is where we go for "comfort food" and it never disappoints.
Antique old look. Food was great.
Ate dinner here on Canada Day. Very rustic atmosphere and very quaint. Loved the decor and all the pictures of the history of this fishing resort. My dinner was amazing. Began with a carrot and ginger soup, Cesar salad and the succulent roast beef with a semi glaze, baked potato and fresh peas. The deliciousness continued with dessert consisting of a homemade coconut creme pie and coffee. The meal was even more amazing as our server Blythe was super personable and easy to interact with. Btw, I'm gonna order a coconut creme pie for this weekend. Can hardly wait to return. Thanks Blair
Delicious home cooked food.( Had chicken cordon Blu) Reasonable prices. Restaurant reminds you of great grandma's house. Home like settling. Service was excellent. Blythe was helpful with menu suggestions and offered recommendations for attractions or things to do on Canada Day around Newboro.
Decent enough for an $18.00 club sandwich, extremely short pub menu.Lots of Americans visitors mainly seniors on an American plan. Very dimly lit/atmosphere.
