First visit, May 2022…..garbage. We thought - maybe still suffering because of COVID. Terrible food, terrible attitude of the owner. (Imagine the nerve of a customer expecting a good meal) Haven’t been back until tonite. Three of us went, walked in when there was maybe 5 cars in the parking lot, well before the dinner rush. Greeted by the owner “do you have a reservation?” We replied genuinely “ no, did we need one”? He stood there with a blank face and said “ No. then an awkward pause. Then said “I’d scratch you off the list if you did” all snarky. Oddest greeting ever lol. The coleslaw was nasty - tasted “off” / old / bitter. The fish & chips we ordered - also disgusting. Over cooked / old grease / grease not hit enough when they dropped the fish in - because it was literally a grease sponge. We were told the fish was haddoc…..haddoc is NOT grey / black. And when we showed the owner as he walked passed, we asked him “is this haddoc?” After we peeled all the gross batter off…..he confirmed it was. We asked “then why is it black?” He held a plate out and said “put it on here” and walked away with it, entirely inconvenienced - without another word.
They really need to read their reviews and listen to customers. I am far from the first to write about the gross coleslaw and nasty fish and chips, just keep reading the reviews below…….. clearly they aren’t interested in changing anything, Over and over and over. There won’t be a third visit ever. Skip this place and save your hard earned money.
Restaurant owner here and unfortunately 2nd visit was just like the first. 2 piece fish and chips were way overcooked and the coleslaw was absolutely aged First time visit the roast beef special was way undercooked and was kinda made uncomfortable when I complained Owner is very arrogant and dismissive Believe me nowadays there are many restaurants and you have to be on your game Good luck to them
Prime rib dinner was fantastic.
Good food and service, and fantastic butter tarts for sale.
This place is home for North Gower
First time here, and would go back. It was busy at 630, which is to be expected.. But they were still decently attentive considering how many people were there. Food was great. Had the Lobster Ravioli, and the coconut cream pie.
I would order both again, but would drive wildly out of my way for that pie again. Amazing.
Extremely busy on fridays but very quick for how busy they are. Best perogies and best steak sandwich i’ve ever had, the cook made the steak exactly how it should be.
Great food and great butter tarts
I went to the Marlborough Pub with friends tonight and it didn’t disappoint. All four of us had the prime rib and it was incredible. We also had dessert and it was fantastic. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and humorous and even though the restaurant was packed full she came around many times to make sure everything was fine and to fill drinks.
I will be going back regularly for years to come.

Marlborough Pub & Eatery: A Five-Star Country Gem
My girlfriend and I recently enjoyed a delightful evening at the Marlborough Pub & Eatery, and we can't wait to go back! From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the cozy, country-themed atmosphere. Old signs adorned the walls, the bar was absolutely adorable, and even the menu had a playful, down-home feel with its clever country-inspired names.
Our server was fantastic, offering friendly and helpful recommendations that guided us to some excellent choices. My girlfriend raved about her burger, and I thoroughly enjoyed my crispy chicken Caesar wrap. To top it off, we shared a decadent hot brownie with ice cream that was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
The Marlborough Pub & Eatery truly deserves a five-star rating. It offers a winning combination of delicious food, charming ambiance, and top-notch service. If you're looking for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience with a touch of country charm, look no further!
