Four of us go out every few weeks looking for breakfast places away from the town where we can enjoy the atmosphere, find good food at good prices, with friendly service. The Cedar Tree is just right on all counts, and we'll be back. (How on earth did the Hebrew-English dictionary end up on their bookshelf?)

Very good meal and service at our Christmas social yet again! The only thing I would suggest is perhaps allowing a little more of a gap in between the courses, easily done as we had pre ordered our options!

A group of 15 gathered for Christmas meal together. The food and service were first class. Little details such as decorations and so on were done with care.

Excellent Christmas lunch for a group of 19 tennis friends. Friendly, good service and great food with dietary requirements met with no problem. One lady couldn’t attend last minute and Nicky was helpful in accommodating her for the new year. I have come to expect nothing less than this high quality, friendly service from Nicky, Tim and their team at South Lawn.

I came to two Christmas lunches, both times the food was excellent and the staff were really efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I have been coming to South Lawns for years and highly recommend it.

Took our Pensioners Association members out for Xmas Lunch. The food was good, the service excellent and the table set up wonderful. Very professional service all round.

Eating here is always a joy, whether its breakfast or dinner. Dinner has always been a good experience here, always cooked very well and presented well too and they have a pretty solid wine list - Rockhopper comes to mind, both red and white are very good indeed. Breakfast is always very enjoyable, especially the cooked one; always cooked freshly and always presented very well. All the staff are friendly and accommodating if you want to deviate a bit from the stated menu. I just love the grilled bacon with fried eggs - I need to find out where that bacon comes from because I tried some so called "Taste the difference" bacon at home for breakfast and afterwards I decided that I would rather forget the difference!!

While walking yesterday on the Main street I stumbled upon your restaurant. As a foodie myself I was enticed to try your Donaire Shawarma. Entering your restaurant gave me a lil bit of memoirs from my Middle East days. The vibe inside of the restaurant was welcoming and even the Bhai sab on the counters are articulate when it comes to food orders. The Shawarma was soo good and I must say I will definitely come back for more. Keep up the good work guys!
Lovely food and friendly service at this restaurant located within the South Lawn Hotel. We visited the restaurant on both nights during our recent short break there, and were always made to feel welcome. They even have an area especially for guests staying with their dogs, in which you’re able to dine with your four-legged friend.

We had breakfast in with our offer but we had a festive lunch on the Sunday we arrived and dinner the following evening, both were fantastic as usual.

We held our charity Christmas Lunch here again for the third year and the staff were fantastic, bringing our 30 meals all at the same time. For catering to such numbers the food was exceptional and everyone enjoyed their experience. We will definitely make four years next year. Recommend booking early!
