My family and I have come to Forage several times since moving to town. We have always enjoyed our meals and the great service. However Fri Dec 05 we were very disappointed with our meals. We ordered our usual mussels in a curry sauce and they were cold. The server kindly brought them back to the kitchen to have them heated up. I ordered the lobster risotto and the rice was crunchy not cooked at all. Our other dishes had an over powering amount of garlic and we were terribly disappointed in the gnocchi dish as well as the Crab cakes. I am having lunch with a few friends there on Friday as i suggested it since we love the food. However after our Friday experience the week before I hope I am not going to regret this. I hope this was a one off as we have always loved our food experience there. Just thought I would share.

My wife was looking forward to celebrating her special Birthday. She was looking forward to going back to this restaurant with her friend which they hadn't been to for a long time. The experince was not inviting at all. The questions she asked were answered very abruptly, She didn't feel welcomed and will not be returning to this restaurant. They had a bottle of cleaner on the table as her and her friend were getting ready to leave. Not good forage!

I did an online reservation for two, and in my reservation I left a comment that it was two old friends who haven't seen each other for a few years and a couple of old-fashioned drinks to greet us would be great! I paid for the drinks, of course. And when we arrived and were seated, sure enough, the hostess comes around with our two drinks. It was an excellent surprise for my friend. We ate the Ahi tuna salad, and the goat and beet salad with a chicken breast. Both outstanding. Large portion. Delicious. And the tuna was perfectly seared on the outside. We were there for two hours, catching up, and a glass of wine and a couple of drinks plus our lunches when I received the bill I thought it was incredibly reasonable. For such a beautiful establishment I felt like we won the lottery.

The focus on fresh ingredients and quality is evident in all their dishes. They have a fantastic menu for a pescatarian, but also cater to the vegans and meat lovers. The casual atmosphere is great if you didn't feel like dressing up but still want yummy food. Service is also super friendly - thank you Morgan!
