Stopped by on a road trip and was highly impressed. The service by Isabelle was top-notch from the moment I entered the restaurant, and the Honey Brie Chicken Sandwich was to die for. The atmosphere is cozy yet inviting, and music choice was precisely suited to the mood. Don’t miss this place, it’s a fantastic spot.

Our food was great except for the Halibut dinner was over cooked and inedible for my 80 year old mother, not a huge deal just needed to let them know. Our server was very rude for the second time. When we finally got her attention, we were told we should have let her know, but could not get her attention.
We got a replacement salmon dinner which was cooked perfectly. The only negative review I see on here are about the service.

Although this is our neck of the woods we have shied away from visiting a lot of restaurants in the Dufferin region.

This restaurant offers a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. They are not pre-packaged frozen items but fresh home made options. We were pleasantly surprised with the flavorful, well put together, value for money meal.

Our hostess was exceptional as well.

We will be back 😀

My husband and I are trying to eat less meat/dairy and Forage was the perfect restaurant for this. Their menu is curated and has a dedicated vegan/vegetarian section. I had the grilled veggie wrap and he had the chickpea curry and both were so good.

Flavours were bold and clean. Service was friendly and not rushed. Had their lemon lentil soup, grilled calamari, special Cobb salad, spicy bison sausage rigatoni, and Thai chicken curry with quinoa.

Tried three times, only got to eat here once.

Our first visit was great—the food was genuinely good, and it made us excited to return. Unfortunately, our next two experiences were frustrating.

The second time, we had a reservation, but it was canceled just a couple of hours before our arrival because the restaurant decided to close early. No explanation beyond that, and it was disappointing.

We gave it one more shot and walked in without a reservation. Despite seeing multiple empty tables, we were told they were fully booked. Out of curiosity, I checked their reservation system online and found four open time slots (screenshot attached).

It’s disheartening to see a local spot with solid food turn away customers without clear communication or a consistent approach to service. We genuinely wanted to support them, but sadly, it feels like they’re not interested in having us back.

And honestly, at this point, even if we tried, I doubt we’d get in.

Food is good here but the service is severely lacking. Ordered take-out and they forgot to put the dressing onto the falafel bowl. We drove back and they told us it was an extra charge to get the dressing- which was clearly marked on the menu as coming with the bowl. With the added charge to use the machine it was an extra $4 for a tiny container. I emailed the restaurant to say it was a little outrageous to make a customer pay extra because staff forgot to add a component to an order. No response received from them.

First time eating there.
Lobster roll was good, but the lobster Mac & cheese was on the bland side....needed salt and more garlic.
Some of the interior lighting needs dusting.
Service was great and food came out quickly.
Overall a 4/5 stars

We had 2 orders of the salmon main, (one of the more expensive items on the menu). Was not impressed with the portion size. Salmon was modestly sized and rather bland, with one small carrot sliced in half, seven half fingerling potatoes and a couple sprigs of green (broccoli?). Certainly not what I would consider a meal. Ended up having to cook something else at home to eat to go with it. Maybe have it marked as a junior portion on your menu.
