First time customers beware! Been to Townline Fish and Chips many times in years past and have to say this was the worst experience ever. My mom and I were in for lunch and we were the only customers at the time. We ordered our food and drinks. My mom ordered a coffee wanted extra cream for it but the cream was sour so it curdled in her coffee at which time the waitress then said “oh wait you probably should use the milk bc the cream I used earlier was sour.” I had ordered a Pepsi but didn’t get it. Had to ask twice for it and then was told they only had coke. We ordered our lunch Wanted mozzarella sticks to start with but didn’t get them before the rest of our food came. My mom ordered the shrimp basket and a small side order of fries, which she got. I had ordered the haddock fish with chips but asked for my fries to be upgraded to a poutine. The two ladies went to prepare the food. Brought out my fish and chips but didn’t make the fries into a poutine so mentioned it. They took the plate back. Still waiting on my mom’s food and the mozzarella sticks. They then brought out just the poutine and so I commented on “where is the fish now?” The older lady said the poutine was my moms but my mom didn’t order the poutine. So the lady goes back and finally brings out my moms shrimp and fries and the mozzarella sticks. There was no cocktail/marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks or my moms shrimp, when asked for some we were then told that they just reopened and so didn’t have the full supply of items. We then proceeded to eat. I took one bite of my poutine and nearly gagged. The cheese curds tasted like rubber. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said let her fix it for me and bring me another one. I said no thank you I didn’t want another one. She still went ahead and made another. The second one was still the same so I said I wanted it taken off my bill. The waitress then proceeded to argue with me saying she brought me out a second one and that no one is going to eat it if she takes it back. I said that I wasn’t paying for something I’m not eating. She did take it off but then charged my mom for the wrong meal. Needless to say was not happy and won’t be returning.

Terrible food. Ordered cod for takeout. After arriving home discovered the batter was not cooked. Even after cooking it at home for an additional 25 minutes it was gloopy. Fish was full of bones and had lots of scales throughout. Had to take it away from my kids after finding 8 bones. Will not order from here again.

I got chicken fingers and fries as I am not much of a fish fan. But I usually love fish and chip fries anywhere! However this order was a large disappointment and disgusting. The fries are so soggy and undercooked, it takes a lot for me to not eat fries. The chicken fingers looked like they cooked it from a cheap box sold from Walmart with the same disappointing taste. I also got a milkshake and gravy. Those were the only 2 things that were edible. And this cost me $36. HA! Not to mention terrible SKIP drivers who take your food for a drive around town before they decide to bring it to you. Allowing it to become more soggy and cold. This experience was horrible. 0/10. I had a feeling I shouldn’t order from them, and now I know I never will be again.

Have been ordering from Townline for many years, they are no longer operated by the original owners so the awards, good reviews and praises are no longer applicable This is the 3rd order in a row where the fries were terrible, overcooked and bitter. The sweet potato fries were worst than the fries and more like a half order rather than a full order. As for the 3 fish pieces, 2 pieces were eatable, the 3rd piece was over coated with thick excess over cooked batter,. Only the onion rings were acceptable but there was only 7 pieces. Terrible and never again

Watery milkshake, had the consistency of chocolate milk but somehow no chocolate flavor basically I got thick vanilla milk. Not to mention i originally asked for strawberry and a chocolate milkshake but was given both of them together and yet it tasted nothing like what I asked

So, multiple times now I've called to do a take out order two hours before close and in told they're completely sold out of everything. Not even in a polite way, just a "were sold out"
Whats even more disappointing is that when this happened the first time it was an online order and Uber eats still took my money because the business was preparing my food. That they were sold out of.

If I could rate lower I would. Got two poutines from here and they were undercooked, over priced and too salty. My fries were literally frozen. The old owner would be sick with how this place turned out. Will not be coming back.

Used to be the best in town. But in the last couple of years have turned into being the worst. Fish is all batter and a skimpy portion of fish. Falls apart when you cut into it. High staff turn over. Not trained.

Decided to stop by and pickup some fish and chips for dinner. Food was very good, generous portions, the in-house tartar sauce was amazing. Service was excellent, owner himself served us and was super friendly. We will definitely go again! It was a nice treat after a long day.

hate to bash small business but this place is awful. Coffee tasted of chemicals. Little plastic creamers were frozen. Fish was dry, fries cold and dry also. Only good thing, it was clean but maybe that's because nobody dines there.

I’ve been ordering from townline for years and this most recent experience was beyond disappointing. The batter was very different, the fish was thin and over cooked, we ordered 3 coleslaws and only got one tiny little container. Everything was just doused in salt. We won’t be returning. Not sure if it’s under new ownership or something but it’s definitely not the townline fish and chips I knew and loved…
