Spent $40 on 2 shrimp pad Thai meals that were smaller than a bowl of cereal. The quality of the pad Thai was even worse with really no taste. For $20/order I would have expected much bigger portions and much better quality. To top it all off, when I went to pick up more order to take home, they wanted a tip.
Don’t waste your money. I’m tempted to go back and ask for a refund as I am extremely disappointed with what I got for the amount of money I spent.

We love Thai cuisine and wanted to try this restaurant.(In and around Durham) We started with soup Tom Kha shrimp excellent 👌 ,Thai seafood fried rice 🤤 , shrimp pad Thai,Karee soft shell crab 🦀 was yum… taste wise no compromise at all… advisable for take out.it’s compact restaurant.quantity is less and little pricey but worth for the taste 👅..Over all must tryout place♥️

Used to be our favourite Thai place until today. I ate Khao soi and a green tea today and got food poisoning within a few hours. I won't be returning.
EDIT: Typical of the restaurant to assume in their reply that it was my own digestive system and not their food. I've had this exact meal here before with no issues. However, I've spent the entire night in my bathroom with their food coming out both ends and am severely dehydrated. Disappointing that they'd take a defensive stance instead of admitting that even their "perfect" kitchen could make a mistake. Look for the other review about their undercooked chicken!
EDIT 2: My husband who also dined with me and had the same meal but NO green tea woke up sick this morning now as well. Sorry, can't tell me it wasn't your kitchen now.

I am not sure what happened but we've dined in here multiple times in the past and were quite happy with the quality of the food. Tonight I was so excited to have Thai food. We ordered takeout and we were quite disappointed, unfortunately. The curry seemed watered down and had very few veggies in its taste wasn’t good. The Pad Thai was also lacking the usual flavour and wasn't the same way with no taste all noodles were mashed and burned I am wondering if there's been a change in the kitchen or owner change because there was a noticeable difference compared to our past experiences. Usually, I never leave bad reviews unless it's a really bad experience but today I am Very very disappointed 🙁 lost the royal customer.

Uber order number B68D3 was unable to complete uber review since it doesn't let me customize. If you are the one who work in the kitchen either gray hair or blond hair this for you please wear a haid cover. I found two of your hair in my Pad See Ew. It was disgusting and I have to keep eating since I didn't want to disgust other person. Please handle with care no matter if someone watching or not. Also, I am sorry when we askd extra vegetables that does mean we want more vegetables and I was wondering what if we didn't order extra. We have ordered 3 dishes either one has enough vegetables for single person. Any who, I will not order from here. Still I gave 3 stars for tast of food and temperature of the food.

Place is very tight/small. The server should be more courteous...at times, my wife and I felt like she was showing an attitude! Food is mediocre...nothing that stood out. Portion size compared to price is quite small. Nothing was terribly wrong, but just won't be going back that's all.

Ayothaya is a small but attractive and warmly decorated plaza restaurant.
The service is smiley and pleasant, but the seating is limited.
The food is fresh, and the flavours are bold and savoury. I recommend the Tom Kha soup, it was delicious!
The portions are slightly on the low side but should satisfy most.
I'll definitely return when I'm in the mood for some Thai.
