I finally got the chance to try it, and I was blown away. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, yet unbelievably juicy and tender on the inside. What sets Korean fried chicken apart is how light and crunchy the batter is—nothing greasy, just pure flavor. Yes , it’s all halal

Our first time trying the place, it wasn’t bad, the chicken definitely could have been cooked a little longer, it tasted a bit rubbery, so we had to throw it in the air fryer. We got the yangnyeom chicken and the supreme fries, which is the two most popular items, we both didn’t like the fries, the powder on it gives an after taste that I didn’t like, and the chicken was good, flavourful apart from the aforementioned. Also be prepared for a small wait time, though there was no one in the restaurant, we had to wait 20 min for the meal, didn’t have an issue with it, was just surprised, but food is very fresh. We ordered a second time, and chicken still needed a little more cook time to us, this time no supreme fries, just regular fries and it was good.

No doubt best Korean Fried chicken in town. There are so many but this one stands out. I really hope that this place grows to become a big dine in restaurant with nice capacity so we can come here with family and enjoy their delicious food. Today was my birthday and even on my birthday I chose to eat takeout food from Boom instead of all the fancy fine dine in places because I truly asked myself what would really make me happy?

Good food and very large portion size, so great value overall. Flavours are good (4/5 stars). Overall, solid value Korean fried chicken but don't expect upscale, creative flavours or presentation.

First time visiting this place today and we ordered fried chicken with spicy sauce, spicy Tteokbokki, and an order of coleslaw. We are Korean fried chicken lovers. If you haven’t had a chance to try Korean fried chicken before, this is the real deal. For what I had before, Korean fried chicken is always cooked to order. You have to wait for 20 minutes at least but it’s worth the wait. The fried chicken came out piping hot, crispy outside, JUICY and tender inside. If not, that is not Korean fried chicken. We live around the Durham hood. With this revelation today, we don’t need to travel to all the way to North York to find authentic Korean fried chicken anymore. The spicy Tteokbokki came out steaming hot as well. The rice cake is chewy and soft and is drown in a pot of thickened sweet and spicy fish broth. I find the Boom Chicken preparation of the dish outstanding. For Korean fried chicken lovers living in this neighbour, give it a try and find how it compares. The location is a takeout store but I recommend to munch on location. Food tastes much better coming out hot from the kitchen.

Boom Chicken is legit!
I got the Boom Chicken Burger lunch combo for $11.99 and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was amazing — super crispy fried chicken that was literally popping out of the bun, fresh veggies and pickles, and a killer sauce that tied it all together. The fries were double-fried, perfectly crispy, and clearly made fresh to order. Everything tasted like it came straight from the kitchen, not under a heat lamp. Definitely coming back!
