Honestly I've been ranting about this place to my wife all day. Awesome drinks, awesome atmosphere, amazing staff. It was such a great experience.

Actually incredible place. I took my husband and son here and they loved it! I am quite impressed by their niche games and how it feels like a welcoming space for the LGBT community. Really brings me back to my childhood when I used to play DND in the school cafeteria and though I got bullied I still have fond memories of it. I am so glad nerdy stuff is so normalized now. Long live nerds!

Probably one of the best spots to play tabletop games.

I have been coming here for years. They are fantastic, they always have good beer on tap, they have a wide selection of games to play. The owners and staff are awesome. They do periodic concerts, and events for board games and other things. Their social media presense is great. When hanging out in Durham this is one of my favourite places to go and hangout.

Stopped off to kill a few hours with friends visiting from afar. This was PERFECT. Service was amazing, the food and drinks were great as well, and playing a couple board games to kill times with friends here was ideal. Can't recommend this place more!

Jessie was spectacular. From the great looking (and tasting) food to the knowledge of beer, we had a great time here. This is a great place to kick back, have a beer, and play some board games. Whenever I'm back in Oshawa, I'll be back here.

The dudes serving were super nice and the vibe of the place is friendly. I got an Americano and it was made well, my wife said her cold brew was beyond good. Next time we will stay and play some games.

Friendly staff and great service. Made my partner a drink that wasn’t on the menu (I promise I hate doing this!) and it was great.

This place is awesome. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Positive vibes. All are welcome. 15 craft beers on tap and a bunch of cans. It is an institution in the neighborhood of Celina and Bruce.
Great first experience! Looking forward to my next visit.

I'd give Brew Wizards a solid 93%! I should know—I'm becoming a regular and try to come by for D&D Wednesdays as often as I can.
The staff is amazing. Pat always has great conversations and is a fantastic DM, and Chris makes incredible food. I’d shout out everyone by name if I could, but I struggle a bit with talking to others—still, the whole team is welcoming and kind.
The only area I’d love to see improved is the mocktail selection. Right now, they’ve only got two (the Dragon’s Blood and the Shirley Templar), while there are over ten cocktails plus beer and a monthly special. If you’re not drinking alcohol or are the designated driver, you’re mostly looking at soda. I’d really love to see something like a lemony or fruity mocktail added to the menu.
That said, Brew Wizards is one of my favorite places in town, and I truly hope they stay open for years to come!
Best place ever.
wanted to try it out but didn't get the chance :/ more of a PSA on the parking situation if you're unfamiliar with dt oshawa
i made a wrong turn trying to get to the parking lot across the street from the cafe, literally was idling in the lot for 2-3 minutes trying to punch in the directions for the lot so i wouldn't miss my turn next time (its on a one way street and i'm a nervous driver). i was aware that it wasn't customer parking lot so i had my hazards on while i was figuring the GPS.. had someone come out telling us to leave.
no 'are you lost?' or 'can i help you with something' or even assume we were going to be customers - just told us to leave. even just giving a reason like 'hey we have a vehicle that needs that spot, please leave' would have been fine. felt rushed and unwelcomed so i just left and drove to a gaming cafe in scarbs instead. honestly speaking it was only a moment's interaction but it turned me off enough to not want to try and come back. i guess take public transit if you want to come visit or don't make mistakes like i did lmao
Fantastic place. Cozy vibes. Great food. All the regulars are friendly and love to meet new people. Beer selection is great and a myriad of cocktails to boot. Bartender may be a LVL 10 wizard. Unconfirmed but likely.
Great business with an even greater owner. It's great that this establishment not only provides a great spot for people in Oshawa, but they routinely host music nights which are great to experience and play, too. I can't say enough nice things about this business and everything they do.
