The beer and the games are amazing but eat before going
An extremely inclusive space for all individuals. The owner Jessie is kind and supportive of those with different abilities and takes her time with those who need a little extra time

My husband recently brought us here on a spontaneous date, it was our first time here. I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere reminds me of snakes and lattes in downtown Toronto in early 2017. They have a huge bookcases packed with alphabetized board games. We tried a few classics, and experimented with new ones we've never heard of. It was honestly so fun! The food was also great, we ordered a beef and cheese sandwich, a mocktail. The staff was also really friendly, and have a community-like vibe. It was $5 per person to play games, which is more reasonable then some other game cafes I've been to in the past. I hope this place stays open for a long time - I would definitely recommend it!

Frequent customer, love the place! Foods great, awesome game selection!
1 year later edit to my review: the mold/mildew smell is back and it is in my clothes and hair when I get home. Very hard to wash out. Also saw roaches on a few occasions/visits. Hopefully the building owner can handle these things because we love coming here, but hate to leave stinky and seeing roaches.

Has been here 10 years. Great vibe. I am a 70-year-old woman just hanging out by myself and felt totally comfortable. A neighbourhood third space. I love it.

We love going to this Cafe. The staff are wonderful, Great variety of beers/ciders along with great coffee and hot chocolate.
The sheer number of board games is amazing and allows for hours of entertainment with friends.
They do have simple sandwiches and snacks which are all tasty.

This place is great, especially if you come with your friends and your gang is more of a board games type. Their menu options are great and what’s even more better is they just charge 5$ for playing. Would highly recommend this place for a weekend brunch or a weekend get away with or board games gang.

Actually incredible place. I took my husband and son here and they loved it! I am quite impressed by their niche games and how it feels like a welcoming space for the LGBT community. Really brings me back to my childhood when I used to play DND in the school cafeteria and though I got bullied I still have fond memories of it. I am so glad nerdy stuff is so normalized now. Long live nerds!

I have been coming here for years. They are fantastic, they always have good beer on tap, they have a wide selection of games to play. The owners and staff are awesome. They do periodic concerts, and events for board games and other things. Their social media presense is great. When hanging out in Durham this is one of my favourite places to go and hangout.

Stopped off to kill a few hours with friends visiting from afar. This was PERFECT. Service was amazing, the food and drinks were great as well, and playing a couple board games to kill times with friends here was ideal. Can't recommend this place more!

Jessie was spectacular. From the great looking (and tasting) food to the knowledge of beer, we had a great time here. This is a great place to kick back, have a beer, and play some board games. Whenever I'm back in Oshawa, I'll be back here.
