I went today during Fiesta Week, hoping to have a wonderful greeting, some delicious German food, and maybe a talk about family history. My Grandma is German and I have really been devoted to my roots in recent years. I walked in with a smile on my face and asked how the lady was doing. She disregarded me and looked to the people standing behind me that clearly walked in after me and said hello to them, then answered their questions. I said, “hi, I just have a quick question.” She proceeded to ignore me and talk to the people behind me. Only nodded to my question like it was an inconvenience to actually respond. I walked in feeling proud of my roots and culture, then walked out feeling really upset. Not sure what it takes to feel “part of the club.” All I know is I didn’t today.

Was here for a Celebration of Life. It has certainly changed in over 30 years, but still has a great atmosphere.

I visited the Christmas market yesterday. It is a very small place and they try their best. It is very loud in the small place and the person singing was way too loud.
The Pretzels I bought where the worst Pretzel I ever got, they where a few days old for sure. I don’t think i would go there again.
