Elyon african kitchen is a hidden gem on Ritson Road! The flavours are out of this world and authentic—don’t miss the jollof rice, ofada or egusi soup. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. Their service is warm and welcoming and the owner goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. It’s comfy, clean, and perfect for takeout or a casual dine in. Great portion sizes and fair prices, and they also have free and easy parking right out front. Moving from toronto to oshawa I never thought I would find a west African restaurant near me much less a really good one. Highly recommend!!

I have been a customer of Elyon African Kitchen for 3years and I can attest to the fact that she gives top notch services and her food is always delicious. The guest at my party kept asking me where I ordered the jollof rice from. I recommend her as she simply the best at what she does. Note: She delivers at the exact time you want her to and that’s a big one as Nigerian vendors like to do African time 🤣

I’ve been here a handful of times but I encountered this lady for the first time and she looked at me like I have no idea what my business was doing there lol.
As she was serving the food I asked her to switch one to tripe and she said but it’s only three max and walked away.. only realizing when I opened it at home that she gave me two large slices of liver and almost an edible cartilage with bone. When I told her I was paying with debit she looked at me like credit only and I said I didn’t have credit and she looked at me like 🙄..
$28 for something that you can’t even finish and you try to call them to find a solution and they don’t answer your call is not worth coming back for.

Absolutely horrible restaurant. Food is the worse, customer service horrible and the store is beat down. They honestly need to do a better job the boss and workers have no manner what so ever. If you aren’t African they are very disrespectful to you. I hope the lord blesses them and gives them a change of heart.
