Absolutely horrible experience; don't waste your money. Bought chicken and rice last night which included basic rice and two tiny pieces of drumstick - IT WAS $19!!! If not for the GST holiday, this nonsense would've cost $21.45 or something.
The young girl at the front took the food to the back and microwaved the hell out of it...so yeah, a microwaved dinner with two skinny drumsticks plus rice for almost $20.
Do not go here ever. Hopefully this scam of a place shuts down soon.

Very strange place. Apparently they only serve African people, and only people who "know the food".
They also don't have a menu, and didn't want to sell me anything because they thought I'd have a "reaction" to the food because I'm not African.
Very strange.
1 star, and Goodluck to them.

Price and value not adding up. I paid for white rice, ofada rice and stew cost was $35 in total through Uber eat. The amount was so tiny. It tasted okay but why so tiny portions. For that reason I will never purchase from here again.

I hardly leave a bad review but the order/uber packaging for the food is just terrible, you order and they just put in a nylon, can’t they afford basic paper bag with seal ??. This is bad and needs to change for food security
This place sucks

The food tasted days old.
Chicken was dry/hard and fish was not fresh.
Rice was like bullets.
Expensive for the portion given.

Elyon Kitchen is truly a gem! The food is just like a home away from home—delicious, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. The serene environment adds to the overall dining experience, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
Their customer service is outstanding; the staff are warm and attentive, and make me feel valued as a customer. The food is exceptionally tasty, with every bite reflecting the care and skill put into its preparation.
Job well done to the team at Elyon Kitchen! I will patronize them again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The Yam porridge and vegetable sauce is 100/100. Job well done once again.

The food was good but the service could be better. We dined in and when it was time to pay, the lady who attended to us left the machine at the counter.
From my understanding, if you order take out at the counter, you pay at the counter. If you dine in, your bill is brought to you at the table. I have never dined in at a restaurant and walked all the way to the counter to pay. Maybe such restaurants exists but I've not seen it happen in all my years of visiting restaurants here.
I asked the lady why she didn't bring the machine to our table and she said they only do that for elderly people, and that every other person needed to come to the counter to pay. That didn't make sense to me. You're in a multicultural country/community. Leave the ageism behind and be professional.

I ordered pepper soup as I wasn’t feeling well and wanted to eat it with white rice when I got home. All you could taste was maggi and salt. You couldn’t even taste the pepper soup spice, not one bit. The container was so small that there was barely any soup in it because of the gigantic pieces of meat in it. It wasn’t even manageable to eat at all. I’ve never ever experienced this before and I’m just utterly disappointed that this is the quality of food we are getting in Durham, as limited as the Nigerian restaurants already are. Let’s not talk about how the pepper soup didn’t even look or taste fresh, it was as if it was days old. I’ve ordered food from here before and it was good, I don’t know why the quality of the food has gone all the way down. Customer service was very mid. Let’s try and do better.
